Building an army takes time and its expensive. Then they fight one time, and either they win, or they all die. In my opinion battles shouldnt be decided after just 1 fight. It should be possible to get away with wounded units, so that a losing army is not completely lost. [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]

Ok... I have played like 125 turns, and one research tree is already almost done. Research gets done ridiculously fast. [e digicons]:S[/e] The new town-building: Is there a any use for limited buildingspace anymore? I didnt reach that point in any city, I just build everything possible, and there is still so much room for more. [e digicons][/e] The worst thing I detected: You limited the amount of food one city can generate, but you al

Agreed. Limitation of food is a very nice idea. That way, a nation with less towns could have bigger ones, which should work out well. Though there is the problem, that a vast nation will also gain access to more foodressources.

With No Essence and no Gold, after 3 quick cities, where does the Gold come from for the building that is required. (This is early game) One should not just assume the enemy will just sit idle and let you grow up a shit load of Cities, and then die to your might...
You can easily build a foresttown wit
Another issue that will, or should, become a concern for the “Many Cities Quick” builders will be the Defense of those Cities. There is now talk about how can we better defend the Cities we have. Currently, 1 peasant can walk across the Map and if there is no one defending your City(s), he takes the whole ball of wax no matter the Population. Building Cities you cannot defend seems rather pointless really. The

It's been discussed a lot, and best I can think of (without seeing the whole game or making big changes) is to go with some civics techs (to get a decent economy/etc.), some adventuring techs (to get items/loot/allies/pets/etc.), and then a whole lotta magic techs. It may be small empires are only viable for the non-conquest victory conditions (spell of

While it doesn't matter in 2A, but once magic is in using that much essence at the beginning of the game will probably end up being to your detriment. Is it just me, or does Elemental really need some sort of system, where the player gehts somehow punished for building too many cities? Right now, I build 3 cities right from the start, look for the rat quest to build another one. Then build up many markets and bazars, and sooner or later you get so much money, that you build one city after the other. Yes, each city is more expensive, but with each city you also gain more money, so I dont bother a

Edit: Actually I'm wondering how I will get into Beta, I don't remember giving my impulse account name or logging in when I pre-ordered Elemental. I only remember it asking for my e-mail address.
I assume we will get an email with a serial, which we can use in Impulse to download the lates
