Out of all the graphics so far, the forests are the ones that bug me the most. Zooming out and looking at the map I see a town of mine surrounded by a dark, thick forest. When I zoom in, that ominous forest is just a few shrubberies, it kills the mood.

Another non-December Christmas from Stardock!! :D
Just pre-ordered the paper and the Kindle versions of the book. This is the first game/story in a very long time I've been as excited about as an Ultima game. Are there plans for a strategy guide or any other Elemental related trinkets to be sold?
Brad, I noticed there is a pre-order for the Kindle version of the book on Amazon, thanks for listening to us! :)

I succesfully upgraded my beta copy. :) I hope the cloth map details the story in the book that was written.
I have complained and complained about the lack of cloth maps, real printed manuals, and doo-dads in games these days. For me to miss out on this would be a sin that I cannot be forgiven of. Continue to be awesome Brad and Stardock!!! :D
Brad, Any chance you could get Random House to publish a Kindle version of this book as well? Thanks again for everything, Travitar
You have my blade! :D
I really like this idea. It gets my vote. :)
I spent the time working on a game a friend and I are making.
I've recently been reminded on why I like Stardock so much. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate and consequently had to reinstall all my games. I installed my copy of Spore, complete with the 2 year download "protection" and when I tried to run it I was greeted with an activiation limit has been exceeded error message. I knew this was going to happen eventually since I like to reinstall my OSes fairly often and proceeded to contact EA customer service via their website/ema
Brad, This post was so full of win that all I can do is stand here and stare in awe :D
Wow! So roomy! And it's only wet in the places it's supposed to be!
Wow that brings me back in time. I read that book (several times of course) in elementary school back in the 80s.I just reserved a bunch for one of my daughters at the local library. We'll see what she thinks. They are available for sale too: http://www.cyoa.com/public/index.html
I remember being absolutely mystified the first time I read that book, and I wasn't dissapointed with very many of the other ones in the s

If there is any chance of getting the book to us before the game is released that would be awesome. Maybe releasing the game in August of 2010 would help? ;)

Extended development time seems to work for Blizzard. If Stardock can afford to push back the release date, which they stated they can, then I see no reason not to take a little bit longer to make a perfect game. Pushing the date back gets my vote.
I normally just "lurk" here on the forums but I feel I must give my input on this topic. Out of all the games I've played so far I like Master of Orion's tec system the best. It may not have been perfect but it was fun. Some of the technology you missed while teching gave me a reason to use spies and also a reason to negotiate trade with other races. That is all. If I buy extra copies of Demigod, Galciv2, and Sins do I get more lotto tickets? [e digicons][/e] Might be cheaper if I just pre-ordered more copies of Elemental.
