Yay! No 1.9GB download!!
I waited a couple of hours - problem disappeared... strange one
I can't download any mods - it's telling me I'm at my download limit? WTF? Do I need to pay for a subscription?
How about using the Caravan mechanism to limit numbers? Have a once-per-faction building, normally would be built in the capital (perhaps just use the palace?) This grants (say) 10xTier1, 6xTier2, 3xTier3, 1xTier3 units - I agree that the UI is going to be nasty, but that's the price one pays for conquering the world - the paperwork gets horrendous!
Can you create a unique tech requirement for each Unit? Include this tech in the starting techs for the appropriate faction, then create 3+ additional techs that require tech 1 as a pre-requisite? Or a unique spell book for each faction, the units are then summoned rather than built? Can spells be made to require Gilder instead of Mana?
recruitable once Living Stone builds a Monolith?:
A persistent world at the tactical level, including forts, ditches, walls etc would be awesome I want to build Hadrian's wall and defend it against the spider hoards
how about a Basilisk, as a living stone companion creature - the old 'turns to stone' glare would be seen as quite endearing by 'Ard and his cronies a small dragon or drake model maybe?
@ M. Agrippa My Warhammer stuff all went 'missing' (i.e. thrown out by the 'rents) when I went to Uni - I'm still gutted All the pics are from my dear friend Mr Google Images
animated statues? the presence of the Living Stone empire animates anything made from stone - zombie-like
Succubus for the Death Legion?
and at the other end of the Living Stone life-cycle(!): like in LOTR; ancient Living Stones, basically petrified, therefore stationary but providing buffs to friendly troops? no tactical or strategic movement, but providing serious defence edit: wouldn't have to be as shown, possibly similar to rock giant?
For Living Stone; I guess those guys would be born as little lava things? similar to snotlings, but a bit hotter a
Harvest Golem (Warcraft IIRC) could provide city food bonus, as well as being bad-ass in combat?
Drota Witchdoctor?
Banshee for Lost Souls?
Stop me if you think I'm spamming! how about flagellents? religious fanatics - maybe humans from the wastelands who need to prove their faith to the angelic hoards?
Mummies for lost souls?
Deathlegion Headless Horseman??
Snotlings for the Gobbos cannon catapult fodder, meat shields
how about adding wings to the horse for Elven Pegasus riders? same rules as described for Angels?
the Terracotta Army (the original golems?!) had horsies: and chariots: could the caravan model be chopped down to make a chariot? A few races could use chariots - Elves, Drota
and on the Warhammer theme, how about a repeater bolt-thrower to beef up the Elves? replaces the catapult?
Goblin Fanatics were always my favourite Warhammer units Randomised movement as a special ability?! damage to all adjacent units, enemy or friend
