This has been happening intermittently to me with 1.1 Playing away quite happily, save the game, when I come to load the game, all the factions vanish - the roads and goodie huts are left under the fog of war though http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/190570/Empty_Map.EleSav

I really have to question your objectivity here Are you seriously saying 1.1 is only 1% better?? How about posting your before and after scores side by side?

That was it! I'd upgraded Pioneer to a 'Prospector' with additional armour and a weapon. I then removed the Pioneer gear from Prospector and called it a 'Militia' The pioneer 'flag' must remain set even after removal of the equipment. All good now. Needless to say, I went on to ruthlessly crush the enemy with my groups of Knights. Thanks guys. I'm blown away by the progress to 1.1 - what a game this is going to be [e digicons]:D[/e] &

Hi Derek, You had me thinking I was a dumbass, but I went back and checked, and no, that's not the issue, I even sat and saved up extra resources to make sure I tried to insert the screenshot, but I can't remember how to Hosted images: http://www.glowfoto.com/static_image/09-174800L/8926/jpg/12/2010/img4/glowfoto <a href="http://www.glowfoto.com/static_i

Hi All, Loving the Q, but after a couple of hundred turns I noticed that I am only able to train groups of the template soldiers. I'm playing Kingdom, custom race, and I've got the command post and a level 4 city, but I can only train scouts in groups?! Anyone else found this?

1.09o was pretty good, but improved by memclean I've not tried 1.09p without memclean It's reduced my RAM usage, prior to running Elemental, from about 47% to 31%

Hi All, just thought I'd share a cheeky little memory cleaning app that I stumbled across: http://www.koshyjohn.com/software/memclean/ I run it before loading Elemental and (touch wood) never get any more crashes. I'm on Vista with 2GB RAM, and after running memory cleaner prior to playing, selecting 'trim processes working set' (whatever the hell that means), and switching off the run in background opti

Hire them all, embue them all, go kill a load of spiders & wolves, level up essence to 10(ish), research spell level 5 (I think), summon an Ice Lord each, win game... [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]:D[/e]

I personally prefer Crazy Horses by The Osmonds [e digicons][/e] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiNnDpIW918 although these probably wouldn't be so good a 'resource' as such

I think it would create a few interesting viable strategic options, here are a few off the top of my head: a) City Spam - resources used to produce many weak, low production outposts, relying on crowding out other factions. b ) Balanced Growth - expand until at least one of each resource captured, then invest heavily in upgrading your resources. c) Blitzkrieg - invest little in resource tech, rely on others to do so, then roll in and steal their upgraded resources.

Hi, Just a suggestion; how about having researchable upgrades to Shrines, Farms, Libraries, Temples etc. which actually have to be built to take effect? (similar to Supreme Commander I suppose) The upgrades would scale with the early, mid, late game phases. For example, early +1, mid +3, late +9 (of the applicable resource) It would add a bit of depth to the city building and maintenance system - the upgrades would get progressively more expensive. <
