This was my question as well, I preordered back during Beta 1 so I'm looking forward to getting the box.

Yeah I actually researched those techs kinda late game in one play through and had gathered so many extra resources that at one point I was generating around 100 gold a turn, the game didn't last long after that.
Yeah this was especially headdesking considering I played Beta's 1 and 2 and it was part of the city construction screen then as well. I notice that gardens went the way of the dodo as well.

It's pretty good but I think the last patch broke it, I can't seem to get half of the race bounses or flaws to work right any more.
I'm having the same problem, Empire, Custom lord, Custom empire.
I can attest to this, I also think this is screwing up my ability to build buildings after the town hit's Tier2 Actually My Lord also has Life magic...... Wierd.

Okay let me get started with what's inspiring this, I'm a big fan of SA lets plays, mainly the ones where participants from the thread end up in game, my personal favorte from the archive is The XCOM Lets play (http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/XCOMUFODefense/) which had every character named after a froum goer. So this is why I want to rename my heroes, as well as have randomly generated heroes you could say recruit at the pub.</p
Yeah allot of the new options are nice in the 1z2 update :D I look forward to seeing what else they have cooking.

Okay so we really need some divirsity, it's nice that I can make a race with bright purple skin and green hair and call them my Joker people, but what if I want them to be about 3 feet tall and built like a toddler? Since Frogboy did it recently in a dev post using a premade Sovereign I though I'd take a crack at writing up a play through, the game is not complete but I'll be careful to point out flaws as I go along.... Chapter 1: Birth of a nation So Starting off this lovely game I went ahead and made my own Soverign and empire for this, thought it's be fun after all. </p
No the change map spell uses Earth magic, as well as the earth magic shard if you cap it. The lower terrain has been god send for me.

Ditto Shields dont equip on characters and Bows dont even seem to come with the research.

Okay so for the Lost knight and Damsel in distress missions when I take them to my town, they just end up sitting in town and nothing seems to happen. they sit in the town doing nothing.
