Damn, 275 and I'm 32. I think I killed a lot of brain cells in college...
Lord Xia
Must be, never seen this. I've seen some not great starting locations of 4/2. But never one with a 0 materials.
Lol at "Cunning Linguist". I bet they are great against female units.
Ooh, hmm, don't know that, will try and pay attention and report later.
Yea, no teams, I meant 2 same faction, 4 opposite faction.
I tried putting every pre-made nation in with my created faction on a large map, but it seemed like too much and too crowded. Now, I tend to go with Large 2 allies/4 enemies. As long as the bears aren't committing genocide on the AI players, its fine. Last game, they killed 5 of the 6 AI players in the first 100 turns. I assume it was the bears because of how evil bears are.
Red Riders? You'll shot your eye out, kid!
I've said it a million times, but they need to treat soldiers as single units for everything. It's the only way to truly be able to balance out soldiers, heroes, spell damage, monsters, etc.
also for my own edification: Xia, what resolution are you running at?
I think its set to 1366x768. I use an 32" TV as a monitor. And I believe it goes away if I save and reload, and then comes back after awhile.
Brad has said before that champs are supposed to be like Sauron in LOTR, killing swaths of fodder. How much would it suck if Sauron had to stop attacking after he killed 1 unit? Give me a break. Too many people are going to complain and champs will get nerfed into oblivion and then this game will suck in a different way.
Agree.
Might want to avoid using spearchucker for the game...
Berserker Conscript Man at Arms Mameluke Sharpshooter
Some of mine Doomguard Cabal of Ravenspire Jade Brigands Ravagers Dark Chargers Gibborim Legionnaire Vanguard Hordling Praetorian
Is this an "Ogre Battle" idea? I miss that game. I might have to dig it out, set up an old system, play it for 5 minutes, get bored and put it back up tonight.
Ive done the negative mana thing.
Intelligence makes you level faster, makes spells more effective, and increases spell resistance. What else could you possibly want from it?
The resistance doesn't help against damage as far as I know, just effects. Spells more effective doesn't help soldiers and I doubt really even helps spell casters much, level faster maybe, but my 50 int sov didn't tend to level a whole lot faster than his 15 int
psychoak ....yer takin' it too seriously. ALL of Starwars is simple product-placement opportunities for Lucas's Toy industry. There IS NO STORY or actual value in any of the series. It's the junk-bin of S/F.
That's true, everyone knows that the true greats of sci-fi movies are Ice Pirates and Zardoz.
I would like there to be a cap of how much mana a single unit can use in tactical combat, like the essence stat use to be. Also, Stats like Int and Dex need to be as useful as Str. Right now, there is a powerful trait that can be added to a faction that is hard to pick over the one that adds some to dex and there isn't one to add to int. Int needs to be more useful to both soldiers and heroes. Increasing magic damage does nothing for a sold
I pretty much auto every battle. There really isn't any fun to playing them out, not like there is anything going on other than running to the eney and swinging my weapon or spamming magic. The only thing I can do differently than the computer is protect my weaker units and be more conservative with my mana. I would love for it to go one of either two distinct paths, either the Final Fantasy Tactics route or the Domin
Well, they did make the races different. They do have different stats. And some factions have meaningful bonuses. But the tech trees seem even less different from kingdom to empire than they did in WoM, but that might just be my impression, I didn't look deeply into it. Also, even though races have different stats, not sure the human races differences are really all that meaningful. Seems like for the human races, 7 is the low number and 9 is the high for mos
I'm hoping bug and not a feature.
I had this happen too. I ended up surrounding it with outpost, but in reality the best thing to do is sadly just raze it and build your own otwn. hope they get this fixed, as its a neat concept.
I tried to upgrade a unit of 5 and it was going to cost 20,000 just for the armor. Never even tried upgrading after that.
Those dicks! Yea, I remember in WoM when they could come into your influence and build cities next to your resources.
Radeon 4650, its pretty old.
