I didnt use a lot of maces and hammers, simply because I did not have a lot of metal or gold resource in that game. So most of my military was made up of units that needed little of either, so the Cabalist, was more than half of my army and every city had a militia unit. Archer being so expensive, were more rare, and there were only a handful of knights.

The reason I made the Militia with battleaxe, chainshirt, and padded helm was a combination of aesthetics, with a chainshirt you can add some more clothing options, and the battleaxe was cost effective. The Militia was an extremely cheap unit with 5 att and 5 def. My infantry, actually named "Cabalist" due to them all wearing black was bult the same, for efect, aesthetic value, the chainmail cost less and provides more costume options. The trog scimitar isn't much les

At the end of my Empire game, I had all weapons techniques unlocked, and I will list the basic units I used. Archer: Longbow and Leather cuirass. Militia: Battle axe, Chain shirt, and padded helm. Used for defending cities only Infantry: Trog scimitar, Chain shirt, and Heavy steel helm. Bulk of the military, cheap and effective. Knights: Master heavy armor-full set, Great Scimitar, Worg, and medical pack. Expensive, but pretty much unbeatable

Not only can they ally themselves with defeated powers, but they can become the Kings of those defeated powers.

I hate that at the end of the game, I nation is going to always have the same weapons and armor. I want them to be more diverse, like specializations, maybe my nation specialized in short blades, and becomes extra proficient in short sword and gets special attack skills and bonuses when using them? Something along that line would make the game more fun.

I hope you are wrong, but I am starting to feel the same. I hope Brad and Stardock live up to their promises and the potential of this game. But everyday and every patch, I am losing hope for that.

I don't really understand the point of your argument...and they got permission to use the artwork that they used. They didn't steal it. They asked the people who have rights to it and were given permission to use it, and if they didn't get permission, they would change the art. That game has 21 unique nations and several unique races, heroes, and a much deeper backstory. Right now, it is better than Elemental. It is more stable, it's magic is more interesting, th

Whatever you may feel about FFH2, I have a really hard time thinking that you could possibly feel that that Elemental is a better game. I have played the hell out of both, and hope Elemental rises and changes like FFH2 did, but this game so far is so buggy and unbalanced, and without even a drop of story depth compared to FFH2. This game should try and live up to not only MoM, but FFH2. Right now, it's nowhere close.

Along with creating a sovereign, we should be able to create a spouse and advisor when we start a new game. Instead of getting that worthless ginger guy that always starts with you even if you are a trogg or something.

Oh, and shards can be completely destroyed by monsters. Most resources can't, they have to have their farms or shrines or whatever rebuilt, but is a shard is attacked, it's gone forever. Pain in the ass.

I created a new game and nation after winning the last one, fairly anti-climatic, but that's fine in a sandbox game. I decided that since troggs and Urxen actually have some differences in how their armor looks, I would play as one of them as fun. Wow, mistake. They are an even more unfinished part of the game. I love Stardock and am trying my best with this game, but when I see that my Urxen can't wear gloves with armor because of the terrible clipping, or that women

I've been a huge Civ fan for a long time, but for some reason, not interested in this. Maybe it's because of the stand alone Fall From Heaven that is going to be coming out. Can't wait for that.

Trying to finish a game, and bugs are really making it very difficult. I am far into a large map game with every premade nation in it, me playing a created Empire. I did have a lot of fun, even though it looks like I'm complaining, but the game needs some work. BUGS: I guess they not only limited the game to a single neutral kingdom, but aparantly I'm either unlucky or its the Ore Keeper ones every time. The OOM crashes now happen about every 10 turns or so.

[quote who="Droghar" reply="11" id="2781244"]I don't mind specific resource scarcity, it makes you adapt rather than play the same every game. If low on materials you have to bias away from materials expensive buildings and troops, same with metals and crystals. Naturally you pick your military/expansion targets accordingly Playing as empire, who only get 1 material through buildings, I've had plenty of games with no special material resources for a long time - I used the creatures

The Tactical battles are too small, the ranges on spells and arrows too long. We need a way to mimic a real defense formation. Devs, Play an old Playstation 1 game called Brigandine. The strategy to win the battles in that game, was to form a simple battle formation of tanks in front and ranged in back, wizards healers and archers would have to stand behind the tanks and get into position to make calculated attacks, but in this game...I attacked them, so all my units go firs

I was watching deadliest warrior, and a ninja failed to beat a Spartan, yet a Pirate beat a Knight. If a Ninja cant beat a Spartan, how could he beat the same type of warrior with 2,000 years of technological improvement that the Pirate was able to defeat? Sorry bud, Science has shown us that Pirate > Ninja.
