I've noticed that all animals and wierdo races can cast spells, but only Dragons seem to have the intelligence high enough to actually do it. Been like that for awhile.

The way Elemental has done it and the way they do equipment is broken when you throw in Champions and monsters. They are incompatible with the way the numbers are crunched in this game. But, as for the way the units look and move, I'm fine with it in general. Other than other basic problems like ZOC and such that I've bitched at length about.
I use to be on the NWN2 forums and was banned. I had that game from day one, and after losing 3 30+ hour games to bugs and having to start over for a fourth time, I flipped out there and made a dozen or so crazy rants...
It's fun, for a short while, then you realize how shallow parts of the game are or how little mistakes you find annoy you, and etc etc...at least that's where I am. When I play, I just keep thinking, if they had made this little change or did this a little differently, blah, blah, then I get fed up and quit. Big problem is the world is bland, so the sense of exploration and wonder evaporates quickly.

NWN2 wzs vastly superior to NWN1, in my less than humble opinion.
I don't know if it's completely irredeemable, but there are some major flaws in its design that have not been addressed. Mainly that land has no use and is of little importance. Games like Civ and Alpha Centauri, each spot of land could be mined or farmed, etc, but unless this has a special resource, its worthless. Secondly, the Tactical battles.
