I love tech trees, and too few fantasy 4X have them. Anyways; looking forward to hear more about this and I'm sure there will be quality gameplay. Just hope there will be alot of strategy in it, even without a Tech tree. And new FE DLC's and updates! Love it! And soon the GalCiv3 alpha. Nice to see one of my top 3 favorite developers (Top 3: Stardock, Paradox and Firaxis) growing bigger and giving me more new quality releases I'm interested in then

If you make some, please make some with as hard as possible settings for your level. So many boring LP's where the player plays on a diff. level guaranteeing him a victory. Alot more exciting to watch if you really risk losing. :)
In this order: 1. GalCiv3 (or was that 2015?) The king of space strategy 4X! 2. Endless Legend (from what I've read it seems like a real grand strategy fantasy with alot of hard, interesting choices. Perhaps it can even rival FE for the fantasy strategy throne?) 3. Worlds of Magic 4. Age of Wonders III (Seems abit light strategy wise compared to FE, Endless legend and Worlds of Magic, but I need to buy it anyways. Who knows, it might be a goo
Wow, this game looks awesome already, Brad. I'm excited. It better be hardcore 4X TBS for the PC. Also; don't forget the naval aspects this time arround. :D
Give us another full fledged expansion pack instead, with 3 main focuses: Sieges, Naval stuff and Empire management (pioneers building roads with upkeep costs etc, new economical mechanics, expanded outposts....). I'd be in heaven, and this game would be more awesome then awesomest. The only thing missing would be multiplayer, but that's for the next version of the game in 64 bit only. Small DLC's might be good for some short termed go
Better have one type of pioneers, the ones we have today, with the same cost. Give them the road building ability and remove automatically generated roads from the trade tech. They could also build the outposts without being lost afterwards, but it should take at least 10 turns, where they had to be defended from monsters potentially. Make some rules for max distance from outposts to avoid spamming, and allow outposts to be turned into fortresses that can hold a garnison if the pioneer i
I first and formost am a fan of TBS 4X, but love slow paced strategical RTS like the Europa Universalis-series. I'm also a huge fan of the strategical RTS Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander (the original). This game sounds like it can turn out to take a place among my few, but great, RTS favorites.
Awesome, congrats! This going to be the first Nitrous 3d game released, or do some of the other players in Oxide have something going as well?
Civilization VI and Elemental II. :D
Yeah, I really get in such a good mood when playing this game. You can tell it's a labour of love. I'm glad this game doesn't have this excessive style that is so common in fantasy games nowadays.
GalCiv3 announced lads!!!!!! :D
I would love to see GalCiv3 with Sins of a solar empire battles...that's me.
I'd hate to see tactical battles in GalCiv3, both rts or tbs. I'd like GalCiv to concentrate on strategical warfare, and not human tactical exploits. We have enough of those kind of space games already, and it's not making them any better, just much poorer strategy-wise. Another reason
I understand why it wasn't worth it to pay more for MoO rights. Afterall Stardock has an even better simular concept in the GalCiv-series. But of course I would'nt mind 2 Stardock games in this genre, if they have had the capacity to develop both simultanously, which I doubt would be the best idea.
Doubble post.....
I'd like to go back to the Elemental name and have an Elemental II made. It's a far better and telling name then Fallen Enchantress (which is more a thypical XP-pack name). A new Elemental 4X TBS where well working multiplayer is planned and well executed from the very beginning in all coding processes. :D The team has so much experience now in making good 4X fantasy TBS, and it would be very intresting to see you start from scr
Can't wait for GalCiv3 beta! ;)
Do the unit still miss a turn after crushing blow use? Can't remember at the moment. That's at least a penalty.
Love the Firefly suggestions of nerfing iron income abit more, and the cost of some iron to upgrade the mine. I like this opportunity cost. But Horses and Crystal should be availble in even less quanities too perhaps?
Yep, I really hope they will make a New expansion mostly focused on naval game mechanics and features. Naval units, naval battles, transport by sea, sea exploration with special quests and sea monsters, naval skills for heroes, naval buildings for cities with a coastal port, naval techs, ship designer etc. The "problem" with the city placement system not creating enough coastal city opportunities can be solved by a new special tile called Natural Harbour. When this tile is
Buying this one in the weekend. Can't wait to play the New 1.2 patch + DLC.
Lots of AI-focus! Cool! :) Can't wait to test it out!
NO! If, as suggested, you move into the tile you attack, you can't attack targets with other creature stacks next by without risking a counterattack. The best way is how it works now, where you have full controll. Especially when playing dense monster setting (as I always do) these situations happens all over the place all the time. NB! I also like the fact that an attack costs a movement point. That represents the time used on the Battle.
I ordered a new gamer-PC and actually paid extra to get Windows 7. Also bought a new lap-top a few months ago and got Windows8 and it frustrates me so much, it's giving me stress symtoms. What are they thinking? Guess Start8 is what my Laptop needs. Please make games for other operative systems in the future, I will never go for Windows again, after Win7 is obsolete sometime in the future.
TW-series is a good example. Tactical combat might add something but it comes at an expense, and the expense is less importance on macro-strategy. Compare Total War with Europa Universalis and there is no doubt that the one without tactical battles (EU) is the one with the most strategical depth. I don't want GalCiv to be about exploiting the AI in tactical battles. I want it to be a great strategy game with lot's of emphasis on the macro level.
The Space Game is the ultimate title if you ask me. :)
GalCiv must forever be TBS. Hopefully they still have same system for battles as well. GalCiv3 have the potential to be one of my top 3 multiplayer games as well, togther With EU3/4 and Civ5.
