Great videos (even though the fights are a bit slow a times, maybe up the animation speed? just a suggestion...) I do wonder why you turned down the influence from the quest, even though you will need influence to use that wildland allies tech you are researching at that point and have no other influence sources in sight. In episode 6, at time 15:56 there is one of those invisible rivers. Had that bug for ages, glad it also happens for other people, as I got no reactions to my

Turfs, like mini wildlands? Hmm, Why not. I'm also very unsatisfied with the random, mostly-harmless-but-you-cannot-predict-when-not behavior of monsters. My thoughts about that from more than 6 month ago are still relevant for the current beta, I think: https://forums.elementalgame.com/416547
Honestly this^ bugs me more than anything else. I really wish a few random numbers were saved during world generation that all future events calling for random rolls referred to, ensuring that a game plays out at least somewhat similarly after a reload. After playing through one game of beta 5C and halfway through two others, I wanted to share some of my thoughts: First off, I really like the state of the game. Regarding recent changes, I think the new early game items are a nice addition. Stability --------- The game still crashes for me quite often, on average maybe every 2 hours. But it's not bound to playtime, happened to me right after I started the game. Mostly when moving a un
That sounds like a cool idea, but for this to not be terrible frustrating, cities should survive losing to neutral armies. Right now cities are seldom attacked, independent of whether it's defended or not. But if it get's attacked the attacker is probably some wandering monster you were not strong enough yet to confront. And as your city defense is seldom much stronger than the best offensive army you could muster, it easily overpowers your defense. And right now, if you lose
Also running XP. No freezes here, but very frequent crashes as well as frequent slowdowns that make the HUD disappear. The slowdowns where much more frequent before I reduced the resolution, that helped a lot, but the CTDs are still there.

Since the game becomes a diashow when there is a bunch of them on the screen, I can imagine that people with not as old rigs might still run into performance problems with them. And as I don't have the same problem with most of the other models, it seems to me that there must still be some optimization potential there. A model detail configuration in the settings would be an alternative.
The slag model seems to have too many polygons, at least for my poor graphics card (GForce 7600 GT). Whenever one of them comes into view, the game slows down significantly. With a bunch of such units in a fight, it becomes unplayable.
This really seems to be tied to saving. Due to the problems I encountered I started to safe every turn, sometimes after every action, in fear of losing to much progress to a crash. Now I tried to play some turns without saving and all went smooth. Then I finally saved and the same turn the game crashed ;)
Happened to me too, with all versions up to now
I really like the multi-threading in FE. The delay between turns (i.e., its absence) is phenomenal. That being said I encountered some oddities with stuff happening during other stuff. Especially stuff happening after I chose whether to manually or auto-battle. At that point the combat seems to lose focus/ the block 0on the game world/whatever - Pop-up window of looting a site and finding an ax ... during the combat for that site! - Scout moving over the map to a desti
In all FE versions up to now I had the following behavior: After some turns the game becomes very slow, frame rate drops and all responses are delayedby like half a second. The game does no t run that smoothly on my machine, but the performance in this state is markedly worse. And this happens in every (non trivially short) session I played yet! It happens mostly after a fight but not after every fight and sometimes also after some other actions like returning from the research
-Monsters not aggressive enough. Unless a lair is touching one of my cities they never get attacked. Monsters should rarely even attack from +4 tiles away.
This brings me to a related point.... I really wish that there was some way to see what special powers enemies have, while we are actually in the middle of fighting them. It would make it much easier to know if something is a bug, or a result of a cool special power we didn't know about.
Oh you can: just double-click on them.
I just had a very epic battle with 4 heroes vs Torax that was overshadowed by some bugs: 1. Every time i right clicked on Torax to attack him with a unit that was still some tiles away from him. That unit stopped one tile short from him and could not attack. That cpost me some critical attacks. 2. When I saw that torax was of type 'Elemental' I tried the sunder spell on him just to see him healed for 42 HP... 3. In the end I only won because my last hero was a
When the zone of influence of a city grows, this is not imediatly updated. A monster next to the old border but inside of the new border already gets marked as threat in your territory, even though the overlay graphic still shows the smaller territory. Also strange stuff happens after loading a game. Several boni are not applied immediately, especially movement boni like the one from the master scout trait. Also loading starts with adjacent monsters that didn't attack me in the or
Thanks, very interesting read :) I can confirm that enemies sometimes don't attack even if they end next to a potential target. Happened more than once to me.
I really like the game-play so far, but I think I identified an area with improvement potential: movement and attacks of neutral armies/monsters on the strategic map! My observations in this regard: Most of the neutral units on the map seem to be tied to some kind of lair. They stay near that lair and don't stray farther than like 2 tiles away (at least in the early game). Others seem to patrol the wild lands. never seen them more than 1 tile from border.
Some oddities I observed in tactical combat: 1. Two of my champions learned the ability true strike, but it doesn't show up in the ability bar during combat 2. My webbed champion was still able to move. 3. Death demons sometimes use some kind of ability (there was an animation and its turn ended) but nothing happens. 4. There is only a single hit animation when an enemy is hit twice by a double strike, which looks a bit strange. 5. Enemies sometimes
the rivers are not visible. I just know they are there because it says so in the upper right and because it costs more movement to enter that tile. They were visible in the tutorial.... The enemy just founded 3 in quick succession (~12 turns) cities, with the same pioneer unit (or build new ones in about 1 tu
here's another one I encounter very often: a scrambled health bar in combat:
I cannot run this .exe It immediately stops with an error message about 'wrong application' configuration (the message is in German as my Windows is in German, but there is no more information in it than that)
I like the game very much so far, as there is much more incentive for exploration and playing around with all the possibilities than in WOM. The problems I currently have with the game are mostly technical, the most annoying one: the HUD sometimes disappears or rather does not reappear after a fight or a tutorial video or a similar situation without HUD. Sometimes it reappears later on, sometimes I give up and have to restart. Here's a screenshot from the tu
