Giving out items after completing a quest isn't handled in the same way quests were before? What I mean is, before quest locations had a 0-99% chance to appear. Could item rewards be handled that way, too? (in this case ins2 just got unlucky)

You may want to go back and edit your original post to cross out the crashes that appear to be fixed in the latest releases. It's hard to gauge progress otherwise.
I'm pretty sure Derek made some changes to this. Specifically, I think in faction creation you now get more total points but that some of the really big faction abilities cost 2 or 3 points or something.
Great to hear. The built-in factions seemed to have an upper-hand against the custom ones. How cool would that be to play against a randomly generated AI sovereign, instead of just the built-in ones? Probably
yea not for release at least... it would be nice for the future but there are other things we would like in there first. I made some super awesome game information screens that we would loooove to get in there when we have time too, which if you guys saw I'm sure you would agree we do appreciate all you guys' proofreading feedback a ton, we just have so much time to look things over and few people to do it [/qu
What I think it should get: 87 What I think it will get: 81
Agreed. It should score higher, but I'm afraid it may not be approachable enough, appeal to a large enough of an audience, and lacking in wow/bling/usability. But, they've still got the campaign to release, which could add some of that, plus updated documentation. Last I heard, Toby was having a blast writing all of that documentation. Rig
Great list of problems, many of which are pretty high importance. Great bug hunting, bpalczewski!
we are gonna try to make the manual (and its information) available in as many forms and to as many people as possible... but I don't think there is gonna be time to get a direct hot key list into the game itself. If Derek will let me I will gladly post it here, on the website, link through the games ect ect when it's done. Which could be today even We also have a grammar/spelling nut (english major) here who has looked over
I've been working on a manual (with lots of words and stuff in it) and will get this info in there
And there was much rejoicing. Just curious, but any chance the keyboard shortcut list could be available as a link in the Options Menu? That's where most are listed. Also, you should post the list prior to 1.0 so JackArbiter has a chance to correct the grammar. That man's an English-correcting machine!</p
There really should be a pink version on a higher level quest. [Hint, Stardock, hint]
Brad, any idea why roads sometimes make those circle/square patterns? I've seen that in one of my games, and I noticed it in your example as you were going to attack the Altar main city.
BUT OTHER AI'S DO NOT CAST SHRINK ON THE JUGGERNAUTS AS WELL.
Really? That's a pretty big deal. I've found Growth/Shrink to be pretty powerful. Very effective against lumbering oafs like Jaugernauts, Ogres, Trolls, etc. Plus, they're so much cuter when they're tiny. [e digicons]:meow:[/e]
Great investigation. A fix for the tooltip here would be good.
I always assumed it was applied to the empire, which seemed really severe. Have you verified on the City Details screen that this penalty isn't happening? I'd assume it would show up there.
Never noticed that before. Pretty minor detail, but strange it doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Does this apply to other things that dim the screen, like the Hiergamenon, Research screen, or the Govern option?
I know this is testing AI, but maybe it's also revealing as to some imbalance between the different factions? Procipinee and Markin seem pretty underpowered to me whereas the Empires are a bit too much so.
Agreed. I'd love to see the estimated time to travel to various locations. Probably not an easy task, but one that needs to be addressed. If I send a unit somewhere and fate depends on whether or not it can get there in time, I need to be able to estimate it. Otherwise, I might send a different unit or try another strategy.
Was Shrink cast multiple times? If so, it could be like this issue: https://forums.elementalgame.com/434068
So, it was open the following turn? All ZoC stuff seems to take place the next turn instead of immediately, which causes some strange issues when you expand your city but the ZoC isn't updated right away.
Agree I thought it way to weak to merit choosing. So I never chose it.
Same here. If movement is decreased to 1, that would make it much more appealing. Decreasing movement by 1 is barely worth choosing it compared to other, much better abilities.
3.25gig RAM,
How do you get 3.25 gigs of RAM? Is that free RAM memory (so you actually have 4)? Obligatory question- Are you running the latest version of your video card drivers? I noticed a slowdown in .99, but that was after playing for a couple of hours. Quitting and reloading the game seemed to fix it. I think it was using 2.5 Gigs of memory. I see in .992 they fixed some memory leaks, which might help, too.
It was listed in the release notes for .992. Has that fixed the problem?
will patch the 0.990 or 0.991 beta5 builds as well and is much smaller of a download.
This answered my next question, which was "which versions would be patched?" Thanks, Kris! 50 MB for a patch is much nicer to download. For future patches, you may want to list which versions are patchable and which need the full version (assuming you can't go from 1.0 to 1.9 through just a patch in the future).
Not saying it's required (there's a workaround as you mentioned), but the behavior isn't consistent with the Strategic view, which is strange. Why have a different way to interact with Tactical for navigating?
It sounds like that Unicode to ASCII issue that was mentioned by Cari in your video (assuming that was in reference to other languages).
