Lord Reliant
One of my units killed an enemy down to 1 hit point, then killed it off with poison. However, the game still thinks it's there because it's showing a defending icon where the unit used to be located. I suspect this strange case of a unit killed by poison (but not by melee) is what's causing the problem.
Sounds like the rain of arrows problem is still happening with .87. How about the other things on this list? I didn't see them listed on the changelog so I don't expect the fix, but knowing if they're still around would be helpful.
Also another execution glitch with Rain of Arrows from Assassin path, sometimes (often) instead of firing instantly the caster remains stuck for 10-15 seconds with no casting animation then the damage happens instantly.
This was reported in .85 and seems to be introduced in there (although maybe others could confirm/deny it back in .80)- https://forums.elementalgame.com/443604
Got a chance to test it out very briefly and noticed 1 bug: *Tarth's Double Strike ability description still listed accuracy as having a -30 modifier instead of -20 Looks like the description just needs to be updated (assuming it was changed as in the changelog)
Its released, let us know what you think.
Woah! Will have to test it out tonight.
Then, if steam is the new source for Stardock games, are we going to get a steam key for our Stardock FE downloads? To keep things neat, so to speak.
If you bought direct from Stardock for FE, you can't/won't get Steam keys for it. Brad's commented on that before. I'm not sure if it's a cost or a logistics issue, but unfortunately that won't happen. On the positive side, downlo
Any word on the new Upgrade screen no longer exiting the window after choosing one thing to upgrade? I think that's a bug since there is a "Done" button.
1) I'd change their attack bonus to whenever they are outnumbered
And/or bonus to when an enemy is higher level. I know this is a trait already (I believe), but the current bonus of only receiving bonuses while in groups of 3 or less is almost impossible to use effectively. Either that or make the bonuses much more significant (increased movement, increased dodge, etc.). I like the sentiment behind having small armies, but it
With the reduction in healing power for items, will any of the purchase costs be reduced as well? Purchase price for items has always seemed a bit on the high side and lowering these will make it even more that way.
Reloads the game with the same settings but generates a new map. Especially useful for randomly generated maps.
I think it's a case where the spellbook doesn't scroll down/change pages. I've noticed the same thing and using the scrollwheel fixed it. Might be related to the .85 fix of opening to the last spell used in the spellbook.
Had the same issues there. It's like you can't quit out of it once you try. I had to reload the game.
Do you have a savegame you could post like via Dropbox and/or a screenshot? That helps SD a lot in tracking these down.
I would be with you in this, darovana. If you have an alliance, the obligation to also declare war on an enemy should come into play, too.
Others have said this, but generally the grid and movement tiles in Strategic view are hard to see. I also have issues properly clicking on units at the default zoom level at times. Hopefully this is on the "to be fixed" list.
I think it's incredibly savvy of Stardock to have their own accounts tied to Steam, too, in the event Steam is a problem. Not that Steam is perfect, but as someone who was on the Impulse bandwagon prior to the sale to Gamestop, my transition from that to Steam has been seamless. I don't blame Stardock for using it- it's very convenient, works well (I've only had 1 or 2 issues in the three years of using it), and like Brad said, it solves a ton of other issues. Not that DRM isn
Noticed the caravan issue yesterday, too.
Does it say "Spit poison" or "spit acid?" on that ability? If it's acid, no problems. If it says poison, it needs to be changed to acid. I used the studded collar to control an albino rock spider (they're awesome on your team), so I'll have to check on it. I think it says spit acid. Even if it does spit acid, though, the affect is just like poison since it damages the unit each turn.
When choosing Shadow Strike I, II, or III, all three show only "Ignores 25% of victims' defense". I assume it should actually show 50% for II and 75% for III. Can anyone check the XML and see if it's actually changing the values for these?
I found out something interesting about this one today. When I got the chain boots initially, I couldn't equip them because of the chainmail proficiency requirement. Later, when I checked the boots it showed the "Must have chainmail proficiency" requirement. I'm guessing it didn't display the requirement until after I unlocked chainmail as a technology. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
Rain of Arrows has a strange delay. When casting this ability, there's a 5-6 delay/stall and then damage is inflicted without animation. It worked fine the first time, but not since. I was using an Ignys Shortbow.
I had this happen to me, too. I was using the Ignys shortbow, too. Strange, though, in that it doesn't happen consistently. The time that happened for me I was attacking 4 units. Do you remember how many you damaged?
I've only played .85 for about an hour, but very good improvements.
Cari- your contributions to Stardock's gaming and community have been profound. Undoubtedly you'll have a similar impact focusing on motherhood. Thank you for all the dedication you've shown through your role at Stardock. Stay in touch! The real question now is, who will take care of Brad's demands? (I'm looking at you, Derek!). ;)
What is the general benefit of leveling up? Off-hand, I know it increases: *HP *Accuracy What about other traits, like resistance, dodge, attack, etc.?
