Thank you for the update, as always it all sounds good. @random_target: Love the Avatar. The Praying Mantis is one of the most fascinating insects ever!

Nice to hear, and good call. Also good call on locking Dev Journals. I figure you didn't want to do it that way, but with the ceaseless "counter-productivity" escalating to the mountaintops, it had to be done.
I should go back to this game now. My first table top AD&D experience was T1 The Village of Hommlet. Plus I still have my ToEE campaign. I wonder if that thing is worth anything?
@Alborelli and WhiteElk Yeah, I was trying to think how to say these very things. I started many attempts that as far as I could see I was not being constructive/only adding drama, so I chose not to post. But it is definitely past time to say how counter productive much of what is going on in the forums is. It really is. But these last couple posts put it well. Go ahead let yourself be cleansed, and let Stardock get to it!
Thanks Stax77! And I get the big DUH award. Next time I play I will pay attention to how much gildar I get. The reason I would have never figured this one out is I have ONLY been playing with Irane.(I like her little "yea" every time you give her a command.) I was thinking/hoping the bonus would be applied to food or research, or something. Oh well. It might be a good idea to remove the selectable aspect of it, since that was the most confusing part to me. Glad
Arrrg, this is funny. This would be a strange thing not to notice. In the battle results screen, above the Close button is the loot from the battle. To the right are two choices: An amount of gildar, and then a lesser amount of gildar and the words ability bonus. In the battle I just played it gave me the choice of 109 gildar, or 28 gildar ability bonus. There is no explanation that I can find of how said bouns is applied, what the bonus is applied too, or what this bonus actu
Sorry, what I meant was, when you are victorious in battle and you get to the loot screen, you can choose straight Gildar, or a lesser amount of Gildar/Ability bonus. I can't quite figure out what the ability bonus is supposed to do, or be for.
Unfortunately this game is going to get its share of lumps, but I think we know that. I already own the game, I know exactly why I made my choice, and that's that. KVO is a good reviewer, he is helping reduce, in my eyes, the Gerstmann explosion. Even before that stuff I never cared for scores. I could usually glean form the text or the vids if a game was my thing or not. And thank God for Zero Punctuation. I know it's comedy, but a good nine times out of ten h
Thanks for the replies. That was helpful.
Yikes, I can't imagine losing a job from a company like Stardock. Condolences to those affected.
One question, I am confused about the use or application of the ability bonus that is selectable after a battle. Where can I find out about this? Thanks!
The changes sound good. So far for me 1.07 is good stuff. Hope you got some good recoup in while you were away, oh wait, we were all talking to you while you were away, now what is wrong with THAT picture ;) The AI decision making stuff sounds cool, and scary, and fun. I have started a game that really feels like a game this time. Sparse resources, where far reaching Influence is important. After about 100 turns I still haven't found the other Sovereign yet(I o
Me too, I thought it seemed weird that I hired someone when i was about ten squares away. I was wondering if anyone knows about or can direct me to how the hireling bonuses work, such as a bonus to food, or movement speed? Do they only activate with the NPC stationed in a city, or do they occur whether in a group or in a city? Thanks
would the physical 1.07Hotfix release cause my 1.07game in progress to crash? err, I got a message that the game stopped responding, I was all ready to come here and mention it, instead I loaded up EWOM again right away and it popped up a window about the hotfix? The timing just seemed coincidental. was playing along and still things are great. I know the AI needs work My first real gripe is: I would like to know if there is a way to specifically choose from the resear
I-I Ilove you man :P Thanks for the attention, and something to look forward to after the Labor Day fun dies down!! (unless there is another update before the weekend?) Edit: So far across three different saves, my performance is excellent. 1920x1200res AAx8 AFx8 v-sync always enabled. I like the outlines, I leave them on Played a full new game, got smeared, but I was just rushing to see how things went. This was a
Hmmm, this is an interesting turn. I don't want to play the table, but since my last two games(out of about five and one stab at the campaign) I could tell I wasn't getting much enjoyment out of it. I could tell the game as it is wasn't what you meant.(I actually returned to an old SoaSE Advent save for a satisfying and utter defeat of the Vasari in the System of War map on Hard. That was fun!!) I mentioned in an earlier post that I was surprised by the constant level of invol
Thanks for the updates BoogieBac
I can see that my Diablo2 release anecdote was pretty flimsy. Thanks to Nick-Danger for some perspective.(you can't give karma till you get karma, right?) I hope none of my comments offended anyone who was in the know. If I was involved during the beta phase, and then saw the game like this, I wouldn't be posting much at all. I try not to stick my head out during a storm.(when I know wtf is going on that is) I would still be enjoying the game, and just waiting
OMG iluvthis stinking buggy unfinished game that has everybody happy and sad just like Master of Magic when it came out and stuff i luv the damn stupid lazy stardocks people too I luv to not luv the froggman who is so luvabull Now apologize!!! How DARE you, how could you? The humanity! The injustice, I demand retribution, and by the gods I'll see you lashed to ribbons, broken on the wheel, then drawn and quartered, but you will apologize first from the squeaking crushed slit of your t
Difference of opinion, wow, good stuff nonetheless. Because I know nothing: of programming, business, and public relations; I don't judge too harshly. Anonymity, entitlement, and the ability to always be right makes for entertaining comedy. More right morer righter mostest correct omnisciently righteous Frogboy, stop looking at the internets while on vacation, you cwazy!8P Not to mention leaving your material alone for a while for a fresh perspective. I saw this one a couple times today. Tactical battle is going nicely then the buttons stop responding, for me I waited a few minutes, i had to hit the auto-resolve button to get out. I also had a really great battle, would have gotten some nice XP, maybe even nice loot, but on the last guy I had to hit auto resolve, then i only got credit for the last guy on the map. Anyone know if that's normal for auto resolve?
I am glad Stardock is getting a bit of a break here, but most posters are correct, any other company would be getting lambasted right now, with glee, I might add. Regardless of bad reviews, the game is good, and only going to get better. That might be why some are holding back. "Fun" launches from the past Ultima Online: I think it was a while before the game was fun to play. not to mention the Day 1 assassination of Lord British. Anarchy Online: No credi
Howdy, I have no performance, or gameplay issues at this time, these are my specs, and a recent experience. I am running Vista DX10, 6GB PC6400mem, AMD dual core 6000+(no idea what the ghz is on that one), ATI HD 4890, newest drivers, on-board sound (no idea what drivers) And Elemental 1.06 hotfix. 1920x1200res, AA x4, low shadows, numerous groundcover, depth of field:unchecked(don't really know if this helps or hinders). I hope that is helpful, if the
Awesome. You enjoy your vacation. I will enjoy your game!
That's great news! Thank you for your hard and dedicated work! I figured out my budget, and picked up Elemental(not Limited Edition:() today. Good timing for me! Can't wait to get crackin'
