I would dearly love if unit groups were handled on a per figure basis, ala Master of Magic..

were you using a shield? I think you cant use bracrs with a shield.
Empower seems appropriate for Empires. I think they should just stick with Champion for consistency though.
well, the thing with that is that all anyone needs to use is their starting spells anyway. level1 ftw.
not only is it standalone it basically replaces mount and blade. ;)
if you want to establish a mil outpost just send a dude to a location and use the Fortify command. It's not like you are commanding a million man empire here.
There's always gold to be taken from huts, so its kind of a moot point. First thing I do is build a workshop..
a good core game for august release is possible at the current pace but itll probably still need some patching.
well, i think it should be that a magic only sovereign isnt that great at adventuring
Couldn't research Caravans after 3C (.92) came down.Still in the Civ tree right?
Diplo tree.
Right now, though, it's like everyone has machine guns and nobody has body armor.
At least that explains the cataclysm
i really hate that you just cast spells for 2 turns till you are out of mana. every battle starts with MASSIVE NUKING because mages also have high combat speed and you can cast 3 spells a turn easy. there is no time limit on spell casting in fights, its just a matter of how quick you run out of mana. this also means that whichever caster gets the first turn has a huge advantage. You could bring 3 champions vs 1 and if you dont have some sort of antimagic protection or big hp buf
Is that ocean? heh.
Are you in town when you have higher HP?
click on them and theyll work
Well, someones eating his wheaties.
Altar seems to utterly suck for some reason. They barely remember to found cities.
Oh right. Still. Whats going to be the difference between light scalemail and heavy chainmail? There's such a thing as too much customization.
thats all rather excessive when the only variables are cost and defense value.
well, armor definitely needs to be rebalanced imo. Researching paper doll locations seems silly though. Research definitely ramps up too damn quick in terms of equipment...hehe. There's also a disparity in cost efficiency between different pieces of armor. This is fine, except that I end up using leather greaves as my basic cheapo spam armor in the early game rather than leather chest armor. Dunno, just struck me as off.
Quest feedback: I'm underwhelmed by quests. Most of adventuring is wandering around, grabbing free loot. Sometimes you beat up weak monsters. Virtually all the quests/notable locations are 1-2 step at best with little flavor or adventuring to it - random MMO quests are far more detailed. The rewards from adventuring seem inconsistent as well - varying from piddling to outrageously imba. Mostly, the adventure system forces you to use your sovereign as&

Confirmed. This quest worked in 3b but ive tried it twice in 3c and it crashed reliably. Windows Vista 64. AutoSave, .Err, Prefs, Dxdiag all posted to http://www.deadlyshoe.com/elemental/armorquest.rar No dump file. As a commentary on the quest itself, the spider monsters visual appearance seems to only loosely correspond to their threat. In particular, the Hoard Spider is a pushover but Greg
I really think spells should be one/caster/turn.. unless the unit has an ability to do more. (Shard bonus?) this helps preserve the distinction between different spells, especially AOE vs single target.
there was a bunch of discussion about tactical combat models in the past. the current turn based model is what they decided on after a lot of testing and tinkering.
That's a mockup. ;)
