I had a chance to play the second game first, and it seemed to me like a pretty, but shallow shooter with a horror aspect that did not really work. When I saw the first game in PS3 bargain bin, I bought it out of curiosity. I was surprised how different this game plays and looks. It's much slower, more atmospheric, the constant shooting that kills the suspense in modern games is not there. But I was totally shocked by a scene when my char came to celebrate birthday w

I would be wary to just "download the file from Internet", since there are a lot of infected ones. It's the easiest way to make a trojan horse. Better install from original sources. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findtheproblem/qt/dll-download.htm In fact it is possible that an antivirus quarantined the file because it was considered infected. It's also possible that Fallen

"Massive potential" - I keep hearing this expression since Elemental:WOM release. It's usually related to games that people desperately wanted to love, but for various reasons, it was not possible. Just like with Tristan and Isolde.

Did you try searching for the file? Do you have it? If so, what version and where in the filesystem?

Closed helmets - and armor should hinder magic abilities. Armor hinder delicate hand movement necessary for magical gestures and a closed helmet turns your incantation into illegible "hrrmphgrrrph". You should be forced to make a choice - either be steel-clad behemoth, or go light-dressed so that you can cast those complicated spells.

Bought it, played a few rounds, got beaten to a pulp. Looks very good so far. It seems that Warlock is going the asymmetric way like AI wars and other games. If it's so hard to write an AI to compete with human players on even grounds under the same rules (and then let it secretly cheat to provide challenge), it's better to openly state that the AI follows different, but transparent rules.

Doesnot have anything to do with video drivers, libcurl.dll is a dynamic client-side url transfer library: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CURL I think Visual C++ 2010 redistributables provide it, so just reinstall/repair the package and you should be fine. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 Worth a try, no?
Quoting charon2112, reply 14IGN also gave MoO3 a 9.2. Their credibility in reviewing 4X games is lacking. Seriously, now: you don't like a specific review they had in 2003--that's nine years ago--so that kills their credibility? What do you do if an infant pukes on you, wait for him or her to grow up so you can foreclose on their home mortgage, and put nails in their tires?
AFAIK that ability was removed, the roads now appear automagically after you research a certain tech, Trading, if I recall correctly. The patterns of the roads are sometimes quite bizarre.

There you have it. Neoliberal economy does not mean automatic democracy. In fact, neoliberal economies turn into fascist states, given enough time.

I would say that word of mouth is much more important when it comes to niche games. Minecraft or Dwarf Fortress had little to no official advertisement, yet they became quite popular.

I said "given the same training". Comparing trained and untrained individual is useless. Trained anyone can always beat untrained anyone. My point was that given the same drill, men will perform significantly better in close combat then women.

But since this is fantasy, it does not really matter. lol, what ? you have to be kidding. You don't need to be a man to swing a sword, or fire a gun. and women can be just as strong when they work at it<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_H9jxLJKL2p0/TSWuHeJTZ7I/AAAAAAAAABE/i748kD0ySV4/s1600/Blog+-+Wome

What I absolutely hate are those scripted "introductions" of units - they do nothing until they get into your LOS, then they start to jump around like circus clowns. Enemies should of course execute their own tactical plans even if you don't see them - in the original UFO, you could sometimes just see SOMETHING moving through the grass, and these moments added to the atmosphere immensely. This modern nonsense detracts immensely from the overall impression.
HOMM 3 and Age of Wonders 2 Shadow Magic are the crown jewels of the genre. Fallen Enchantress could potentially match or exceed them in time.
Says who? The International TBS Commission? Age of Wonders is nice, I agree, but Homm3 contains some really very strange concepts, basically the fact that you spend all the game pampering your killer stack hero with experience while heavily using save/load - because f
