In Korea, the high schools have school sponsor extra curriculum activity on how to get good at star craft. It has become on the same footing as sports. And..if you are good, you can compete with the pros and make 6 digit figures. They even have school team competition. Shame we don't have such things in North America.

but the old invasion screen was entertaining to watch.
will any blizzard games be steamworks exclusive. I hope not. It doesn't sound like starcraft 2 needs to use steamworks services.
it is more important that a game has good AI, and okay graphics, because this translates to good game play. If you have bad AI, pretty graphics, the game becomes only good eye candy.
Jafo, the links i posted were all legitimate links. In no way was i advocating anyone breaking the laws for profit. Reverse engineering is done on a constant basis by tech companies and users around the world.
I think one of the guys from Hacklab.to said it best, if you can programmed it to run on a computer, it can be decompile and disassembled. That translate to any kind of DRM arrangement will ultimately failed. and for all you curious fans here, apparently, reverse engineering is a legal affair, don't believe me, you can find commercial softwares to do it and books on amazon to tell you how it is done for your own personal educational edification of cour
Guys, if you are making a game, this is worth a short to you, because it gives you funding, and for folks who just want to get started in the gaming industry, and a lot of these will have some Computer science/game programming background from a respectable college, than, they probably don't care. I mean..if you are enrolled in an acting school, do you care if Paramount or Warner Bros sponsor an acting/talent competition, and the winner gets to sign on with the studios in one o
Tried the game, combat is horrible. Actually, the combat in Galciv2 is much more entertaining than Armada. Even though the game is real time for the combat, but you can't do much to control the actions of your ships other than telling it to go point xyz and attack this or that ship. There is not much tactics involved. Also, it is ridiculous if there is one single enemy marine at the end of the battle, you lose that world, but before that, getting your ships to take out
so for the ipad, does it require for you to sign up with some Internet service provider to browse through the net. Can you do common typing task with it besides emails. What i mean by that is, is it comfortable enough for me to write a couple pages of texts compare to say a netbook??
Tonight i saw game card for Mafia Wars and Farmville game card being sold at my local 7-eleven. If there is such a thing as a waste of money, that definitely takes the cake. On the piracy issue, there is an interesting book call Software Piracy Exposed. by Paul Craig. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Software-Piracy-Exposed-Paul-Craig/dp/1932266984 The piracy proble
You guys know that SD and all the other digital distributor can file an antitrust lawsuit against Valve for forcing customers to install Valve's DD software and no other ones. I believe the last time a big giant company got its ass sue, it had to modify its business practice. SOO why isn't Stardock and Gamersgate doing such a thing. Look, Steam is not going to go away because of the lawsuit, but it will give consumers more choice for certain.
will this game be sold on impulse?? Yes, we can get it from our local Gamestop/EB games, or probably Steam. But seriously, not being on impulse seems sooo wrong.
sorry for my lack of knowledge on the subject matter, but the Android OS system, what devices uses it currently. I thought some of Apple gadgets uses it. Am I correct or do these gadgets like iphone and ipad uses a native custom built Apple operating system?? Will the ipad kill off all those HP tablets too, or will it be one nasty fight between HP, Toshiba tablets vs Apple.
I have a very quick question, i currently have a 64 bit toshiba laptop running win 7. Will Elemental work be able to run on it. Thanks in advance
you guys dare to call Obama a commie. Listen, i live in a country call canada up north, and i can tell you, when Bush was around, everybody in the world hated and loathe America for what she stands for. Because of a commie, everyone loves you guys, and...did you not heard, American is the number one place of choice for people to do business, it even toppled Australia. And that commie just won the Nobel prize for peace. You did not see dumb ass Bush won anything other t
how is steam still better than Impulse, i thought they are both very similar. And on Impulse, you get accessed to tech support in real time. Okay, there are better multiplayer support in steam apparently. But if you are talking about just plain digital distribution of buying games, i say impulse is better. At least you get the game much faster compare with steam.
people, if you bought the game, and for whatever god forsaken reasons the drm measures are hindering you from playing our game, get a crack from the internet. problem solved. If you don't have internet, go bug someone else that does, it is a simple google/bing search.
guys, in the end, Google and MS are both corporations that wants our money. So it is like the PC vs Mac, whose ass will we kiss, Gates or Jobs. Likewise for Google searches vs Bing searches. Whose evil wisdom will we rely on from the dark side. The only thing interesting that i have heard is that ms is trying to get big companies to not to pay Google for page ranking services. Guys, unless you all have timeline/deadlines to meet, working
there is the effects of rising temperature that affects the melting of the polar ice caps and then there is hysteria. We can see climate patterns changing over time. What we should do about it as a country and as a species is often been politized. I mean, come on if you go to some of the east Asian countries or some parts of the U.S, where pollutants affects the air one breathes, i don't think it would be unresonable to reduce carbon emissions.
People hated Oblivion because it did not offered as big a world as morrowind, and there are less quests. But with Oblivion, the game offers more in depth and more meaningful quests. Also, many whined about the AI and the enemy scaling system. The truth of the matter is that Bethesda had to toned down the AI because it was becomeing way too smart in the sense that they were afraid that if they did not toned it down, people will find the game too difficult to finish or play fo
yeah, but they complain for the benefits of the kids, not adults. Okay, maybe those that have a religious sensiility, but those are different story, those type complain about virtually everything that is not in sync with their tinted glasses view of the world.
What do you guys think of the sue that is taking place between bethesda and Interplay. Anyone feeling bad between interplay even though Bethesda is in the legal right in the first place. For anyone who are not aware of what the legal quagmire is, here are two links that provides furher info: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=25226 http://kotaku.com/5357724/bethesda-sues-interplay-over-fallout-trademark-infringem
what is wrong with being a virtual Communist dictator, when you can start your own virtual cultural revolution. :D
If China disappeared, India will replace it as the default world manufacturing center, or maybe we will have south america to do it. :D
the thing is..is Dragon Age origins a nonlinear game like Oblivion, or is it more like Bauldar's Gate?? Tha is not something that i am clear on. I have a feeling that it is going to be like Divinity 2.
