The wii doesn't have an update system, so their games have to be pretty darn clean. It's intersitng that everyone always talks about 360 and PS3 as if they are the only consoles out there considering there are a heck of a lot more Wiis in homes than either of those two.
Well, A large part of the reason is because while there's lots of wii's out there, software sales don't reflect the numbers well.

Gaming sites are just mouthpieces for the big companies, designed to look like free press. Personally, I'm *really* tempted to enlist some people and gather documentation to present to the Government arguing either payola or fradulent advertising by pretending to be Journalism. It's just way

You just can't blame Stardock because they don't have enough money to bribe many review sites to create hype.
You're right on the money. What makes it worse is that alot of people haven't figured out that the gaming sites are actually a pure racket. Gaming sites ma

No. No. No No. No. Brad and Stardock aren't getting piled on. They deserve the criticism. I don't disagree that Sega/CA got away with ETW. It's all about the eye candy there. That still doesn't

LOL, looks like someone accidently passed an array of floats, and at least some of the floats flipped bits. It's kinda fitting, funny, oops. Given Elemental -> MoM -> MOO... And Master of Orion(MOO) had a problem where it would accidently cap out an 16 bit signed number, the legendary stack of 32k ships that no one could ever figure out where the bug was at.

I've got a captured city that is permanently stuck at level 1, and the AI built a bunch of cities nearly on top of one another. One set is literally within 5 squares of the next. I've also got cities that can build a Construction Yard, and some that can't without any indication why. None of my cities can build the Tower of Iziz(I think that's it's name), and my construction techs seem to do absolutely nothing. A Hedge Wall takes me 20 turns to

When a game that introduced zero innovation to the genre (SC2) gets praised and a game that is trying to shake up the genre (4X) is criticized for lack of "focus", how will game developers react? In my experience... Most game companies today review based on the size of the company's advertising budget, not on their game. Gamespot's controversy a few years back is a very good example. I've been informally keeping track, and watching how certain sites make sure "User reviews" below a certain threshold...disappear. One day I'm going to compile a mountain of data and start sending it out to demonstrate modern day Payola, which is actually a cri
