I have never had horses as kingdom, then when I switch to empire, I get three horses within 10 squares of my capital.
--- Conclusion --- In general, I consider that there is no game in elemental. Yes the game is playable and it can be finished, but what you play is actually a prototype to test if the engine of the game works and to make sure the engine support all the features needed. But if you take out all the engine and try to play the game on pen and paper, it would simply not work. They made a container without content ... well there is content for the story,

Currently the game has shortbows, longbows and catapults. This thread is for discussing the different types of ranged weapons and how each should have multiple methods for decreasing damage or preventing damage allowing for great strategic gameplay. If I knew Stardock did not have such a design plan originally I would have posted this type of thread back during early 2009. Elemental would have greater strategic depth while still being easy for a beginner using this desi

No single player should be allowed to research all magic spells, all weapon types, all armor types and all building types otherwise the strong players will never have any weaknesses. Every three completed research paths/spells should close one research path/spell thus a player may have a weakness with fire magic or cutting weapons or enchantments and so on. If the strong players dominate the researching without weakness
The balance of creatures are hopefully under redesign for strategic gameplay... flying units should have some type of sky terrain barrier. The reason is currently there's no resistances or methods of defense against them. Once Stardock develops a formula where gamers can choose specific methods of attack and defense for these variables they will probably be enabled and working.

Sometimes the enemy is 2 squares away(1_movement_turn) and sometimes 6 squares away(3_movement_turns).
Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing caravans removed. They're just so boring and feel out of place somehow. Also the roads they make tend to look messy like a spider web made by a retarded spider. Of course if they could be made more interesting/meaningful I'm all for it.
I don't think the caravans will be removed... I estimate too much work has been placed inside them. The question Stardock faces would be how to make them valuable without turning them in

Reply to Hotseat in War of Magic

Hotseat is really easy to add and would be extremely usefull for balancing multiplayer while they bugfix concurrent multiplayer. What I am saying is: Implementing hotseat does not make implementing online multiplayer any easier and the only thing the two parts share is multiplayer balance, but it is so simple to do, is standard in all turn-

Hopefully none of my multiplayer discussions have upset you because I'm only expressing the hard truth about the value of multiplayer. Anyways, Brad... I keep reading posts where you are accepting the blame which is very brave and shows strong character.
