Elemental has a great future and while the start is rocky... the end result will be terrific. The free expansion would be worth buying the game even now.

So I just started watching the movie clip about CIV_5 and noticed some important game options missing from Elemental. 1) Random Personalities - Elemental has one AI personality for all AI opponents. Hopefully modding will become available so the community can create the personalities while Stardock fixes the game. 2) One City Challenge - This would definitely provide a better challenge, but the end game score shoul

Also being at war brings a good chunk of money not only from the kills, but just ask an AI opponent about going to war with somebody they know and there's a couple hundred gold. Currently the

Any passerby might stumble upon the more obvious sources of fertile soils, but adventurers regularly tell stories regarding isolated paradises in the wild rife with food. [quote who="DeadlyShoe" reply="76" id="2771742"] This is not accurate and the reviews of other games tell the truth. When playing an RPG I would be plenty satisfied with Diablo_2 style graphics. I'm pretty sure istaris point is that E:WOM needs to do more than draw 24(?) sprites to add a unit. (8 facing, 8 attack, 8 move.) Units need 3d models and appropriate animations; you cant just add (say) a Great Wyrm with the same amount of effort you spend on adding an

I agree with Daynarr .... the only change needed would be on the opponents screen where a setting could change the difficulty for all AI opponents instead of somone manually changing 8 different opponents while keeping the game difficulty setting different.

What's really sad is terrain is only visual... and serves no other gameplay purposes. Fire Elementals walk across snow the same as desert, Soldiers wearing plate armor walk across swamp the same as those wearing leather, archers shoot with the same accuracy at targets in the forest as they do in grasslands, etc., etc., . Maybe someday we'll see some creativity for terrains.
