Greetings! In short, we love this game. And we love this community. We're not going to be leaving this game to work on some other game. We're with it and you guys for the long haul.
Oh yeah! Froggie & Stardock [e digicons]
Because TBS games are few and far between. Years between good ones sometimes. With the economy the way it is, and two TBS comming out so close together, people are going to chose one or the other. There's a reason there's a "5" in Civ 5, and I think I, and many others were hoping EwoM would hit one out of the park and give Civ5 an "underdog punch".
Well, I still don't understand the situati
Quoting solidsmooky, reply 87 Elemental only has until Civ 5's release to fix itself. Once Civ 5 comes it's a wrap. I'm not sure what you mean by "it's a wrap". Stardock is committed to Elemental and will be working on it exclusively for at least the next year, and that's not going to change even with the release of Civ 5. Here is my dwarf with a half-assed hammer, shield, belt, and shoulder gear (spikes?). Far from finished but at least hair is one less thing to try to mess with.
AI is probably THE most challenging aspect of any game to code/program. I truly don't envy Brad the job ahead of him, but, I'm greatly looking forward to the results of his efforts over the coming months.
Yep. Maybe the AI won't be @ Galciv2-ToA AI level 'til the first expansion even, but considering that Brad's time was very limitied with regard to writing the AI....it's totally acceptable I guess. The AI will be decent eventually
But I will leave you in the capable hands of the game’s producer, Boogiebac (Scott Tykoski) who will keep you up to date. Nothing described in the PCGamer article has occured for me. The only bug I can think of that HAS occured is a loss of sound/music after about 3 hours play, restart the game and you're good to go, only a minor bump in an otherwise awesome game.
Yep, same here. Personally I've r
You guys are awesome We’re a small dev team as you can imagine so your kindness and support really puts wind in our sails. We love you guys. I think many of you love Elemental for the same reasons we do. Personally speaking, I feel like too many games come out these days to be “consumed” and then moved onto. As an “old time” gamer, I want to have a game that I’m playing for years and yea
Quoting Tormy-, reply 23 I find it weird that a famous gaming mag [PC GAMER] is publishing articles like this....and I am not talking about the bugs/CTDs reported by the author of the article...that is ok. No game is perfect @ release. However the author quoted some parts of one of Froggie's Q3t forum posts in a very pathetic way imo. That is not acceptable. <br
My biggest problem with the article is the quote he took out of context. Qt3 isn't just some random site. It's my home away from home. And Ben Sones isn't some random forum poster, he's a friend of mine (FB friend and all) and when he called v1.0 an "early beta" I admit, it ticked me off and I snapped back. I shouldn't have said it and I regret saying it, but for PC Gamer to take that comment without any context and put it out th
For when the article was written I absolutely agree with the suggestion of 'holding off'. I tried playing last night and couldn't even progress past a certain point due to the game crashing every couple rounds and just the whole thing coming to a crawl (even on the paper map). Maybe 1.05 fixes most of my major issues and that's wonderful...but if someone asked me yesterday if they should buy the game that day, I would have also to
Part of that thread gets seriously hate filled. Wow. I never thought I'd see the day where people would complain that much over a game, but especially not a Stardock game. It's blatantly obvious half the people making comments there don't know sh!t about Elemental or they'd know just how Kick Ass this game is. See chief, that's what happens when you go posting on those sites who's main posting populations are a bunch of 13 year olds who

Wow....I really don't know what to say...thanks a lot Stardock! I am glad that I was able to help. I think that the beta team was really awesome with regard to reporting bugs & making suggestions for example. No flaming/whining only constructive feedback. I really enjoyed betaing this game. It's a shame that we don't have any other game dev. companies like Stardock. You lads are the best. You listen to your fans if it's needed. You keep enhancing & supporting your games. Stardock = [e
The patch was pirated too. I guess even the updates aren't the supposed "DRM"... Meanwhile, I have no info about my limited edition pre-order. Is it being processed? Already dispached? Track order number? There's absolutely no feedback. Neither in my impulse account or by email...
Man....[e digicons]>:([/e]
