Rally points seem broken. Some Constructors sometimes just sit next to the planet that built them. Others to go their rally points just fine. Sometimes setting the rally point to and then setting it back will fix it for a turn or two. I have been noticing this since the very first beta. It hap

Alpha is like your 'rough draft'. You just jot down the ideas and features. Nobody but your inside crew usually sees this. Beta is your first 'revision'. You fix some bugs, get some more stuff working, but there's still some kinks in it so it's not ready for general people yet. Release is like the 'final dra
geez, do you need to type like THAT! This is a gaming forum you know. I think I get your problem but to be frank, it's too ... heh ... dramatic to read for a Video Game board. For the record the no-protection thingy work just right for me. I have 2 DVD-drives on my PC but one of the fried. The Soundtrack in the game is not realy good so I have been running my own MP3. Good thing since I don't need to swap disk. I
Also, I shoiuld point out that this is late game, I am producing large ships now and have had four groups of three medium ships controlling the galaxy for awhile now Eh, then you're lucky man, or to me at least. I'm also playing on Touch and the AIs are keeping me on my toe. I had the upper han
At what point this is in the game. I believe in one of the Beta Log it mentioned that some races will be building ships that has pure defense in order to counter the initial rush. I had that in my games but as later into the game they'll be upgrading those ships.
Do you know which race it is? Each player has its own way of doing its planet stuff Hey Brad, I reported this about 4 days ago with beta 3. Take a look at this (if the link doesn't work for you then do a forum search with the word double, it should be the "double galactic achievement under my n
nope, I can confirm this, I reported since the last beta.
The military, approval, research, economy resource are fine as they are. Since even with those bonus another player can still try to match without the bonus. But the influence is another story though. I find it way too hard to counter a race with this resource that most of the time the only solution is to wipe out that race.
Anyone remember in Patch 2 Brad mentioned how he had to fix a code where the AI considers to add a starbase to its fleet every turn? Well, I think the problem is the AI treats Starbase a ship, and it result in another bazzard behavior. I was playing a game on touch being the good guys. Suddenly the Yor and Drengin declared war. The Alterian while not ally, come to my aid: "We present you with the best of our ships". Guess wh
1. Rename your My Documents/My Games/Galciv2/ folder. 2. Start Galciv2 and go to the Options screen from the main menu 3. Disable Mods in the Options screen 4. Start a new game. This will regenerate your my documents/my games/galciv2 folder with default data. Please try this and let us know if you still have the Ranger problem or not. </T
The planet's name is "Drengi" which shows that it was owned by the Drengins originally. Then it's probably the Drengi that turned to me not the Arcane. (Having the Influence go heywire). I know for sure the Drenginn and the Arcane weren't fighting each other and my influence ring covered both of their terriory, here is my proof: <br/
Hello, it's me again with today's bug report. For Beta 3. Last night I'm playing an influence game. After a planet from the Arceane Empire rebels to my side, here is what appears on my screen http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/9930/gal1xd.jpg See they are building 2 Political Capitals? And
Well, I tried to reproduce this one, here I come up with: - This bug only appear when you starts a new game. Meaning after your start the game, quit and reload, you wont see the ranger any more. - Even though it's listing you can not build or buy it (not in my game). When you select "Build Nothing" althouth the menu give you the ship and the turn, it's not queue into the shipyard, neither pressing the buy button do anything. So look like it's a UI problem <img src="http
I never crashed on until I started using Beta. Didn't crash once even with the retail and after 1.0X it's rock solid. Now, be warned, I see lots of veteran on here presumed that Stardock central has the Alpha/Beta release option "off" by default, but actually it's "on" by default. I know because I never changed the setting on Stardock central and yet I still have access to all the 3 beta so far. In fact, to check what that option look
Beta 3 Ship building. Tested with 3 different races, the Terran, Aterian and Custome: If you select "Build Nothing" from the ship building menu on a planet, you will be building the Ranger in its full glory right out of the batch. Nice!!

I have a 200 slot ship, but it takes for fricken ever to build. That's why you need to have specialize planets toward the end of the game. For Battleship class I tend to have some planets with 8 - 10 Industrial Sector for building ship.
The reason I usually make a thread first before reporting it into the official bug report since I want to make sure it's something valid, to keep the list short and authentic.
if you play with intelligent AI, just move some heavy ship near their planet and hell will break loose before you attack anyone
There is a safe method in solving this for you. As other said giving back the copy you have is the last thing you should do, as long as you hold the evidence you can do something, if you don't, the card will be against you. For me, tell them to send you a retail Seal Box without you sending the Defective disk back. First, if this one is a copy then there is no reason they need it back, second, you paid for the game so you have the righ
Tighter controls over tech trading Good to hear, but can you explain why in Beta 2 the trading went back to the way it was in pre-1.0X ? And is this limiting mechanisim in Beta 3 the same one in 1.0X or a new one? <TD class="mb-B
it happnned in my second last game with the Alterian Republic on touch level. They and me had about 1/4 of the map influence (someone different from the Torian for a chance). But then suddenly they just out run me and push my influence border way back inland, pass what is supposed to be my Politic Capital and my line of Influence starbase. That was the reason I had to start an emergency war against them, to my suprise they don't even h
If it makes people feel better, the version we sell direct is the Collector's Edition. It did. The reason was somehow none of the shops in my area from Walmart to Gamestop, Ebgame, ToyRus, CompUSA, Bestbuy...etc... carry the game in the first 2 weeks. I eventually gave up and bought from S
huge and gigantic are nice for epic play, but I don't think it's possible to make it simple, since epic and simplicity don't mix. If you play on huge+ map the game will just get complicate, if not sooner then later. When 9 races is reduced to 3 or 4 races, you can find yourself fighting one race for years, not months like in the earlier game. (Imazing with a huge map with each race has a quarters of the it packing with hundred planets
+ I was playing a game on touch as a custome race with 20% bonus in Moral plust another 20% from Populist government. Everything works fine until I notice this on my capital. It has been 100% so I left it to grow for a while, later I notice its moral significally drop. The planet has around 22Bil people with 2 Multimedia Centers and I own all the Galactic wonder (Ultra Spice, Frictionless clothing, Restaurant of Enternity ...etc....) . Whe
