On my last two games, I set the map to large and custom set the number of factions to 5. I'm at mid game and I've already encountered 6 factions. In my last game I encountered all of them including two mod custom ones and two of my own custom factions. It seems that if you alter the default number of factions. you end up with all of them.

Hi Derek, thanks for your reply. What I meant by an advantage is something that provides a benefit to the player that the vanilla game doesn't contain. For example in Tropico 4, they sold a "junta" DLC that came with a building that allowed you to produce more soldiers than the military structures available in the base game. So, I invaded an AI city and noticed that there were three open slots. Even if the AI didn't have enough manna, it could have casts the manna enchantment that's free. (This was late game)

Ok, so FE/LH isn't MP, and almost certainly never will be. Instead of spending your time complaining about it, just go on Steam and find a MP game you like. There's tons of them out there, at least one should appeal to you.

Ok, thanks, that makes sense. i didn't see that. In any case, IMO, I think you should be able to steal an ability that you don't already have. SD what do you think?

When I steal the soul of a champ that has a school of magic that I don't have, I gain that school of magic. But if I cast that spell on a champ that has a school that I already have, it appears I gain no benefit of any kind. For example, I would think if the champ had say, +2 attack from the general skills (that I didn't have), I would gain that. Is this correct, or a bug?

Hopefully these will be fixed with 1.3: When I defeated a city, the dead enemy units remained in the city, and I wasn't able to occupy it. My ally won by spell of making. Since he's my ally and I can't attack him, shouldn't I also win? I received the Steam achievement "A leader of men" at the end of the game, yet I didn't defeat all of my opponents. I am playing a mage that has a spell mastery of close to 130, and a hero with a lower spell mastery. Every time he cast shrink, the target doesn't resist, yet when i cast spells, it seems like it's 50/50 tossup whether of not the target resists. I know that it's just the luck of the roll, but can someone please clarify once and for all how to calculate the chance to resist a spell effect. I believe it's like this: Spell caste
