Hmm...well, what do you like...what do you want to play? On the impulse store, Kings Bounty is sort of a quirky tactical RPG that many people enjoy. Its got the same core gameplay as HOMM5, but retooled as a much more appealing turn based RPG like game. Space Rangers 2 is a good impusle buy, but if you dont like Pirates, you may not enjoy it, as the games are not entirely dissimilar. If you want *deep* historical
Quoting Crassmaster, reply 22Quite frankly, I find the ad hoc "EA is the Devil!" stuff a little tiresome. Look at all the crap Activision and Ubisoft have been pulling the last while without anyone uttering a word of complaint, yet if EA tried some of the same stuff there'd practically be geek riots. The hypocrisy of it is rather annoying. You're forgetting THQ in that list. Dawn of War 2 requires you register your copy with a Steam
BTW: On a related note concerning Mythic, I'm under the impression (and it could be very wrong) that plans were pretty much the same but other factors crept into the equation - maybe the BW purchase - I don’t know. Moreover I can also vaguely recollect reading somewhere that several key people were removed and some other simply moved on for whatever reasons. To me the end result is still the same - gutted...
Additionally, They are using a special developed "disk check" software [Already said not made by Sony] for the game. WTF? Why are they using third party disk check software in the first place? Simple disk was built in titles before. Something does not seem right to be honest.
Lets be honest. There's nothing Bioware could do , short of giving us the game for free on the back of a magical pink pony, that
Quoting Zaisha, reply 7Excited, but cautious. (given EA's involvement) I think I know where you are coming from. I'm cautiously excited. All depends on the DRM.
Bioware has said that the only DRM on the Box Dragon Age game will be the traditional simple disk check. No activations or anything.

EU3 Complete (The Vanilla game +the two expansions) is currently still $ 8.53 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Europa-Universalis-III-Complete-Pc/dp/B001EK7S82/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1249157612&sr=8-1 If you were wanting to check it out, that would be the way to go for as long as that price holds, for a relatively low risk

Looks interesting. But if it started around the time of MOO3 , and is just now at v 0.3.13, it doesnt look like I should be holding my breath for the game any time soon.
Quoting Scorpiana, reply 14 I think EA is smart enough to know that keeping them free to do their thing brings even more money.. Well, it IS EA, I would have thought they'd be smart enough to keep Westwood, Origin, Bullfrog, ... free to do their thing... No doubt hence my concern. EA has a 100% track record of a scorched earth policy with its takeovers.
They didn't do it to Mythi

Remember, the lucky few wont be playing E:WOM...they'll be playing a *very* rough, *very* early build of *some* of the eventual features, and it will be more like work than play, with the focus being on *testing*, not fun. Oh my god, I almost said that with a straight face. Whoo-hoo...seven days!

Seen Two episodes. I'm pretty sure the "13" in the title refers to the number of episodes that will be produced before it is canceled. Its not bad, it 's just painfully bland and derivative. It's a little bit Xfiles ("he thinks intuitively, she thinks scientifically/deductively"...how original), a little bit Sanctuary, a little bit Eureka...and a *lot* like another quickly cancelled show, Special Unit 2. I wouldn't look for this to be around long.

My demon army should be able to eat them to replenish HP and movement points. Or just for kicks.

I thought I'd take a novel approach and wait to see how its working in the Beta, of the game made by seasoned strategy game developers, before getting worked up by random internet speculation or how I *imagine* it might be. Ill post back and let everyone know how this daring strategy works out.

I see a lot of the sort of stock old school classic names listed here, but I'm really into the new wave of contemporary, grittier epic fantasy that's making the genre exciting again. Some of my Faves: 1) The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin . Starting with A Game of Thrones , is sort of a reimagining of the War of the Roses with an adult fantasy veneer. Growing in popularity, is the basis for a planned HBO seri
I'm a bit perplexed why so many people who liked mechwarrior hated mechassault. Personally, I liked 'em all. Nothing quite like creating mayhem with a giant robot. Mechassault WAS Xbox live for a bit there. Mechassault 2's campaign was ok, but way too short. The online stuff, though, rocked. So much diversity. So much fun. Just hope the next installment brings justice to the series name.
Because it wasn't really

Pre Odred today. Very excited to get my hooks into the alpha/beta. Stradock and Bioware are probably the only developers I would ever guy a game from sight unseen.
