Bump 1. True, but perhaps this is by design ? Just like Superior hulls tech is required for Large Scale Bulding, but doesn't have benefits itself. Although if that is the case, the Annihilators tech description is quite confusing. 2. True, but this isn't a huge problem imo. SD is aware of this I believe. 3. True, this looks like a bug.

I saw this happen before as well. Only, I didn't receive the ships... I had to fight them ! Coincidence(sp?) or not, it was the Yor that received those fleets. I was in luck though, I had 2 squadrons of medium hulled ships with 9 beam damage and 4 shields in the vicinity. Although those precursor tiny hulls are dangerous when combined, they only have 2 mass driver per ship. Even my non-optimal defences absorbed most of th

It is not a bug when it is intentional. Indeed Besides, I like it the way it works now. I used to manually remove all functional components so that I could start outfitting with newer components anyway . And now it's easier to recycle cool designs.

Nice tips bovine. Though I don't really need them myself. 8 fans keep my tower cool and they run quite silent as well. Plus blue and red LEDs look good I never thought of lubricating fans before though...maybe something for the future.

@ Orophin : You have exactly the same hardware as I If you download the latest ATI drivers ( troublesome process, it also installs ATI control center which I didn't want ) and have at least 1.0D 1.0D1 1.0X you should have no problems with graphics. If you have two fully upgraded military resource starbases, your ships' attack and defence ratings DOUBLE. ( twice +50 give or take a bit ) In a game today, my enemy was adapted to my weaponry, and had a similar tech level. My large hulled Vindicators still ripped through his M4 Frigates with such ferocity that I felt sorry for his crews.

You CAN actually disband fleets inside a stack by using the U keyboard button. Just select the fleets you want to disband and work the U magic.

Click the Metaverse tab on the top left of the page, then click the Library tab / button. You should see mods from "all categories" listed, and you don't even have to be logged on. It seems that right now rogerano hasn't posted his designs yet though.

Because of the frequent CTDs I experienced with the Digital Release version I would have rated the game 2.5 or maybe 3 out of 5. The game is very fun, but crashing every 3 turns and having corrupted save games just kills the joy. Thanks to Stardock's hard work fixing those problems the first week I can now give the game a nice 4 with the potential to score a 4.5 if tweaks like less weapon tech trade and features like shipyard copying / final

I usually play zoomed out but just below strategic level, switching to strategic from time to time to get an overview, then switching back to enjoy the graphics. ( Plus I'm not all that good at recognising the different icons )
