IMO: Fair. Here's a list of stuff that NEEDS to get changed: Civilization: Cities are always at one of two states: too much stuff I NEED to build and everything takes forever, or nothing to build at all. Ideally, there should be buildings that are not mandatory, but are worthwhile if you don't want to build units for whatever reason. Roads are half-invisi

I agree with many of your opinions on the talents! I'd like to see more diversity in the factions..they all seem to be gereric white humans races. hopefully he devs are busy creating content and not watching 50 mins video. Your heart is in the right place but your cause would be better served with a short as possible written bullet pointed summery.
I learned from one of Frogboys journals that when you dont like your starting location you can type Cntl-N to quickly reload a new map. Something to consider for your next vid
I was looking at old screens from good old Heroes of Magic and Magic 4 and I noticed that the graphics seems a lot sharper and better defined not to mention more colorful. Is the current "look" a product of the being a beta or is it a style choice ?
I read that in Wom there existed the possibility that your champions might breed. Any chance of bringing this back in a family system ala CK2?
I think there needs to be an effort to balance out some of the character empire traits and perhaps spell schools. For example a leader can choose to start with 2 bandits or with the ability to summon any number of shadow wolves at any point through the game. A leader could have +3 gold per turn AND -20% off upkeep or +25% vs beasts. Some empire traits are a little odd too..like death worship with no life worship? Maybe slave lord should be an leader trait? Endless league seeems overpowered..l
You mention in the earlier videos that you dont like how your leaders starts without troops or tech to make weapons. There are leader traits that let you start with troops (bandit lord) and empire trait that lets you start with the first lvl of war techs..what you want seems a matter of customization. I also saw a strat where you design your units with the weak attribute and it lowers build and upkeep costs. My home city can build weak milita in 4 turns which seems ample fodder for the early
How do cities work ? Is it like Civ where they "work" each of the tiles in their ZOC or do they only work the one tile you settle them on? Is there a manual or guide for FE one can read?
Just downloaded the game..forgive me if this is already reported but when I click new game and it goes to the pick your sovereign screen there is no avatar/body of the selected leaders..the background changes when you select a different leader but no body shows up. When customizing a faction when you select oe trait you are stuck with that traits tooltip and it will not change/show the other trait descriptions unless i leave that screen Also the grammer of the "this is a beta"
preordered because of Das123's videos..send the man royalties!
RE: Kantok #232 who am i(we) ? I'm a customer who is supposedly covered by the Gamers bill of rights - at least in regard to STardock products. I'm not say Shafer has to do anything. He's obviously already made his choice to remain silent. Stardock has made their choice too by hiring him with zero transparency on the matter so the next time Frogboy posts a rant about how "for the people" Stardock at least will all know its just PR spin we cant rely on since their values will f
I've already explained my motivation and I dont need your permission to have an opinion about the hiring of Jon Shafer. If you want to discuss the points I brought up about this hiring damaging the GBoR thats fine but stop trying to distract from the topic.
For the record..I dont own CiV or Elemental..I'm a Galciver who thinks industry reform and the GBoR is important. Shafer is toxic assets because his ACTIONS (since apparently the Stardock plan is to withhold his words from us) showed when GBoR values are on the line he will choose self interest over the consumer. Stardock cant hire a guy like that and still sell the GBoR to the industry with any sort of credibility. Its not about ciV or Shafer -its about the message this hiring sends
Look..I know you wanna be fanbios and circle the wagons around the guy ..but we live in a world (or at least we use to) where your work is graded. The man was giving one of the most successful franchise ever and the community largely views what he produced as a failure. And while he was working in it, whether he made the decisions personally or not, the decisions made violated the GBoR. He earned the title " the guy that screwed up CiV" and hes going to wear that the rest of his life..no amou
When did the gaming industry start following Kindergarten rules ? We should embrace him because he "tried" hard ? Did the "best" he could ? You dont know that. Jon has been silent and sheltered by Frogboy and Stardock. The story is a bit misty atm. Wheres the transparency Brad ? Regardless of what you thought of CiV Shafer stayed on while decisions were made that violate the GBoA. He didnt quit, he didnt speak out and he did what was good for his career not what was good for the consu
I am curious. How would you have him "answer" for what happened? I mean i think this is just a symptom of the industry in general trying to talk circles around bad ideas, but really other than reassure people that he's not trying to dumb down Stardock products and be willing to do Q & A's, that's the most he can do.
I would have him publicly come forward and distance himself from the marketing choices that 2k/firaxis
Why are people so willing to give every businessman banker and crappy politician a pass these days? He was at the head of the ship that crash..whether its directly his fault or not doesn't matter...the man must answer for what happened on his watch.
How can you believe anything this company says when with one hand they offer the gamers bill of rights while with the other hiring, sheltering and embracing someone who would be its worst violator.
Well...actually your right consumers arnt entitled to much these days. Stardock, I thought, was working to change that with its gamers bill of rights. Whats the point of having rules of civil behavior if the very sponsor hires a man who's last product was a poster child for violation of said rules. Mr. Shafer might have a very reasonable yarn to tell but he needs stop hiding behind frogboy and come forward to face the music. If Stardocks shelters this guy then the Gamers Bill of Right
I'd like to hear Jon Shafers Mea culpa before I trust any product that he is going to be involved with. He's done nothing but hide behind his business and legal obligations thus far. Which I'm sure is in his best interest for his career and whatnot. But how is that in any way good for the consumer ? Those of us who can get over the vitriol will admit Civ 5 had some definite bright spots and the guy has talent. But you hired a guy who's recent behavior doesnt walk "consumer first" talk that st
