I added a donation button to my site ( http://koti.welho.com/kruohio/skinz.html ) too. No one has donated anything to the starving artist yet.

I'm still hanging around
Thanks, I see it is gone . If it had been done well and the person had asked for permission it would have been a different story.
...and give this as a reply when called on it: "Permissions? Isn't it all "free use"? Isn't that what skins are all about? "
Wow, Chris was fast. He sent me the latest beta and it has cleartype support - looks really cool
I already emailed him
I'm bad at writing to developers, what I would like to see in dash is: - cleartype support (you can't make dark skins - it looks too ugly without it). - Mydash should be able to display all of the today plugins (it actually could be _all_ of the normal today screen). I am going to uninstall dash for now, perhaps start making today theme paks for free to p*ss off the people charging for them over at handango. I'm still not sure which bar app I should use tho, I
Wohoo, notification icon support
Yes, everything was skinned, but the buttons in apps like inbox gets skinned sometimes and sometimes not. But especially annoying is the not being able to switch skins.
I opened up inbox (only other thing running was dashboard) and it skinned the buttons fine. I do a reset, start pocketblinds and open up inbox - no buttons skinned. I have a Pocket LOOX with a 32Meg MM card in the sd slot and a 1 gig IBM microdrive hooked up to the CF II slot.
I did pick them apart already , it seems a little flaky..when I want to switch skins it just gives me the swirling wait icon and nothing happens. Also - sometimes it skins buttons in apps and other times not (although I didn't change anything in the skin). I think I'll wait a while until it is more stable.
Would love to see some skinning instructions
It isn't a good substitute for the real thing...the feeling of bubbles popping in your fingers... ;(
What is an "outage"? Are they squeezing you for more $$$?
Hehe, knew you wouldn't know
Well, what skin did you download? Give us a link...we need it
...and don't do the mistake I made with my first computer-building project: Remember to use the gold screws when attaching the motherboard to the case - don't try to attach it directly (almost fried the thing..luckily it didn't turn on)
....forgot to say: I started using it when I was mushing (I bet you youngsters don't know what that means ) on TinyMUD.
I've had this "handle" since the 80s, it is actually short for something.
Cats can eat chocolate? I know it is poison for doggies....wouldn't let our puppy near that.
I know, wincustomize is just too busy at times to serve the hungry masses...but maybe these speed freaks are eating up the bandwith? (although I have adsl at home and 100MB/s at work )
So you are the reason I keep getting this message sometimes: " The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. Please try the following: Open the www.wincustomize.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want. Click the Refresh button, or try again later. HTTP Error 500-13 - Server too busy Internet Information Services
Still takes a long time for us "older" uploaders too...then again, sometimes it is swift. Makes one wonder if it has something to do with the level of the stardock coffee machine
Hook them up, make one your mp3 server, the possibilities are limitless. I spent a whole bunch on my computer too and I haven't regretted it yet (hate sitting around waiting for computerstuff to get done, max waiting time for me is 5 seconds). Sounds like you deserve to spoil yourself.
My wife's new imac is slick indeed, she is getting rid of her state-of-the-art XP-running laptop.
