I assume most who registered around the time I did were evacuating from skinz.org (or did we try deviantart first?). I guess I mostly visit other sites since I don't really skin for anything that is featured here anymore (plus I got my own site:) ). Sometimes I think about doing WB skins again but I just don't have the time anymore. I am just a "small screen" skinner these days, specializing in pocket pc programs. <img src="http://images.sta

I've become addicted to Star Trek lately (after we bought the first seasons of TNG). Am now eagerly awaiting season 4 to arrive in the mailbox . I think the message and ideology behind the whole series is great (even, or especially these days). I've been reading scifi since I was a kid. I've always liked Heinlein, Asimov and even Arthur C. Clarke + a whole h
Been around since 3/25/2001, but I guess it meant for subscribers only (plus I haven't been very active in a while)
Norton saved me once, have been using it ever since. Although the automatic program control is buggy (outlook problems etc.). I have it ask me before making any rules.
"skinz.org" Ahh, the reason I got into skinning.
I always thought they lost something vital when Waters left - still making music sounding good but without a "soul". Sleeping Dragon: That is a song that is part of a whole story. You could also quote the part where he has turn "nazi" and they put jews "up against the wall".

I tried circular menus for a P900 skin I made: http://www.epocware.com/screenshots/ericsson900_programs/day2005_7.gif
I've only gotten around three of them in the 15 years I've used the net.

Oh yeah? I customized the colors on my Commodore 64 before you got Dos
>There was a lot you could do... I was skinning >Workbench and designing icons etc back in 92/93 on >the Amiga as an example. So did I, the good old workbench...back when the Amiga was running circles around PCs when it came to graphics. Remember DpaintIV?
"Juni, you deleted 3 emails in your visual of Gmail. What's with that? You're supposed to not have to delete" They were three announcements for private messages on different discussion boards - I could have kept them but old habits are hard to get rid of.
Been using it for weeks - it is great. The storage alone is worth it: Gmail: You are currently using 35 MB (4%) of your 1000 MB. Hotmail: 67% of 2MB used And if you compare the intrusive ads: http://www.kolumbus.fi/anders.ruohio/hotmail.png and http://www.kolumbus.fi/anders.ruohio/gmail.png [Message Edited]
These days I actually feel worried and threatened whenever I have to use IE. Strange feeling, isn't it? I use Firefox for my normal browsing needs.
Cool Styl, I'm enjoying converting icons instead of creating them myself (sometimes I think I only have a few different styles of weather icons in my head) I'll ask Mormegil for permission before posting the icons. Yes, Doreen -> read your email
Ok, I found a permission text included in skins which use the icons: "In addition, Stardock licenses this for use with content that is provided free of charge and is not connected to a commercial software product. You may use these images for skins, themes, and other content for freeware software even if it is competitive in nature with Stardock's offerings as long as the copyright notices are included. You may not, however, bundle these images in any way with any software product without St
I know that! I'm trying to figure out who the author is.
I made a conversion of the Stardock weather icons for WeatherPanel ( http://www.marsware.net/ ) - it is a program for Windows Mobile (pocket pc). I wonder who I should contact to obtain permission to post them at my site (with links and full credits to the creator, of course). http://www.kolumbus.fi/anders.ruohio/stard.png [Message Edited]
I think the ISO file is supposedly 500+ Megs (but most people won't need everything). MS recommends using the autmatic critical update download so your pc gets it little by little every day.
"Rent a geek" - love that name
Well, I've enjoyed this site ever since skinz.org became an empty shell and I think the people who run this site is doing a great job. I have a tiny, tiny site compared to this and even that generates a bit of work. So, keep up the good work. Luckily I don't get hatemail, but rather the opposite. I can't even imagine what it is like to run a site with a million users. [Message Edited]
Ok, that is exactly what I need, thank you
Yes, I have been waiting for an "invite a friend" link in my gmail account for a while, but none has showed up yet. But it is pretty cool, especially when not everyone has an account (the geek haves and have-nots ) Just kidding <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/bigsmile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
Only gripe with Firefox: Why can't it automatically open windows in tabs?
