Hi Bosso, There is a keyboard shortcut for rotating the camera. CTRL + Arrow keys.

HarveyBernstein, Thank you for reporting the problem with the HUDs. You mentioned your saved game reproduces the issues and closing and reopening does not fix it. Can you please upload your saved game to a file upload site and post a link here, so we can investigate the problem? Thank you.
Please try changing your Anti-Aliasing option to Off. This option can be found in the Options screen, under the Video tab.
Do you still have the same white-screen problem if you turn the "Anti-aliasing" option to "Anti-aliasing Off"
Tourresh, Please post a copy of your most recent debug.err file. We will need to use it to compare and attempt to reproduce the problem here. Also, if I could get a little bit more information: How far do you get when you run the game? Do you see a splash screen? What if you run elemental.exe directly from your c:\program files\stardock games\Elemental folder instead of using the launcher? Thanks in advance.
crafty35a, if the image is too blurry, please try deleting or renaming your prefs.ini file to restore it to default settings. The file is at /my documents/my games/elemental/
Hi folks. In Beta 4, we made some improvements to how Advanced Lighting worked, and fixed compatibilty issues with many video cards. If you have been running the game with this option turned off because it wasn't working in previous betas, please try turning it back on and let us know if you still have any issues. Thanks!
Post like this really brighten our long days (and nights) Thanks so much, everyone. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Yay, glad to hear it. When we do the next update, I'll make sure that gets in. :)
For the non-advanced lighting issue with the random texture overlay after going to kingdom screen: Please try deleting (or renaming so you have a back-up) the following file in your elemental folder: c:/program files/stardock games/elemental/gfx/fx/fxo/post_bloom.fxo Then restart Elemental. Does that fix the random texture overlay issue for you? I am still looking into the other compatibilty problem with advanced lighting. Thanks,

I've found the source of this problem, and have fixed it. The fix will go into the next update. Please let us know if you continue to have this problem with the next version. Thanks.
Try clearing out your /documents/my games/Elemental/Units folder. This will reset the units back to their defaults. That should let you choose them again. We should probably change it so you can't delete the "core" sovereigns.
I am currently looking into the issue. You're right about it working ok through the starting screens. Once you're in the game though, an alt-tab will cause an "Invalid Call" crash.
Have you tried re-installing the game? It sounds like a file didn't get installed properly.
Thank you for reporting this. I'm looking into the problem.
Don't worry, the unit groups are not synchronized so that they all move together. There is actually quite a bit of variety between the animations in a group of units. Unfortunately, you can't see that in this particular screenshot. In Brad's video above, you can see how the units look in the game, although I don't think he shows a group of units.
Are you able to get to the title screen and options screen? If so, please try turning off the "Advanced Lighting" feature. It is under the Video tab of the Options screen. If you cannot start the game at all, locate your prefs.ini file. This is found at /documents/my games/Elemental/ Open the file with a text editor like notepad, and find the line that reads: HDRLighting=1 Change the 1 to a 0, and save the file. Then try running the
Just put code in to fix this problem. It will be fixed in the next update.
Joshm350z, Please provide your debug.err file. It sounds like a video graphics driver issue, so if you haven't already, please make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. Thanks.
If you go to the options screen, and turn off the "Advanced Lighting" option, then try again, does it work then? Also, if you could please provide your debug.err file (in /documents/my games/elemental), that would help us determine what might be going wrong. Thanks.
Thanks for reporting this, everyone. We have fixed the problem and are now testing the solution. We hope to have a new update out tomorrow. Please see this thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/379817
Thank you for reporting this. It has been fixed internally. We hope to have an update out tomorrow. Please see: https://forums.elementalgame.com/379817
ATTENTION BETA TESTERS: We have discovered a new crash bug that was introduced in Beta 1Z (ver .298 on Impulse). This crash occurs when you take over an undefended city or win a battle to conquer another city. We have identified and fixed the problem, and it has now gone to internal testing. We hope to have an update tomorrow (Sat, Apr 10th) We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience as we prepare the upd
If you turn Advanced Lighting back on, and delete your prefs.ini file (found in my documents/my games/Elemental) do you still have the problem?
