did you try testing it with no life supports, and with only 1, 2, 3, etc.? if my casual impressions were correct, you wouldn't see any increases after the 4th LS module or so. of course, i never claimed they were correct.

...yet another thread where the topic was derailed and conflict instigated by a comment zyx made. why does anyone bother responding with more than:
yeah sure, that.
...?

most of the great players got to their peaks by either investing large amounts of attention and scrutiny into the game and refining their play for optimized score output, or learning the strategies those few players developed. most of that learning has indeed taken place inside empires, not because empires horde the most useful secrets, but because we offer greater assistance to our members in organizing and implementing those strategies. the two strongest empires you concern yourself

that gold medal does look nice, CL. it'll look nicer when it's got a friend to keep it company [e digicons]}:)[/e]
whew some big scores getting thrown around today. no wonder you two were so antsy for the MV to come back up.
those dual lands were awesome; i still think it's a shame they were discontinued from the core set by the revised (or was it 4th?) edition. they introduced a much weaker set of 5 dual lands (only "allied" colors) in Ice Age, but they had some rather disappointing stipulation to their use: i can't remember what for certain, but i want to say they either converted colorless mana to colored mana, or drained your health, or didn't untap normally. it was something that really restricted their usef
heh ouch, that had to hurt in hindsight. i didn't start playing the game until the revised edition/fallen empires expansion. the cost of those alpha rares by then made it easy to agree that they were over-powered. i rarely entered tourneys that allowed them, perhaps as much because i couldn't afford them as because of how over-powered they were. brother and best friend at one point agreed to allow each other to use fake versions of those cards even though we'd never have originals (wi
