Elemental has multiplayer. To ensure that it is robust, we basically threw money at the problem (i.e. set up servers around the world to just host the game) rather than monkey around with trying to get players to connect with one another. However, Elemental IS a single player game that happens to have multiplayer. Out of the box, Elemental’s multiplayer will be essentially skirmish on fixed maps that have been pre-balanced (i.e. not randomly generated).
</p

I wouldn't mind if they delayed the game to make it great. I'm not in beta so I can't really say but even if I was I would reserve judgement until it's ready. I like the "When it's done" approach. However I wouldn't worry at this point as it sounds like your only testing bits and peices of the final product. I'm sure once they get closer and start putting everything togeather it will start to take shape. Keep up the good work! I really hope it runs smooth and plays well at release.

He's spot on the money with his theory. The latest information they have brought to date about particles escaping a black hole is again correct. Aside from the Black hole seeding galaxies they can also seed universes. Amazing to be part of the internet at such a crucial point in history. Where the entire planet comes togeather to further our knowledge of the universe and nature. Highly recommend reading/watching any if not all of this mans theories. Einstein wasn't perfect either as he failed
I have used an S controller quite a bit. It works really great for certain types of games and the best part is it simply becomes an extension of your desires. Yes, I like controllers where they work with a game designed for them. And yet ... way back there I played Halo 1 on an XBox, and then later on got the PC version. For some reason, I found that game much easier to play on PC with a mouse and the keyboard. For the record I hated Mass Effect 1 with a passion. I bought it on launch day and after trying several times to get into the game I put it away. After a while I ended up selling it. Then I saw it for 10 bucks one day and thought to myself after much debate about the game maybe I was hard on it or not in the mood for a slower paced RPG at the time. So I bought it again and while I made it a bit further the second time I still ended up hated everything about it aside from the fact it was Sci F

Make sure you have "Show Pre-Release Versions" selected in the Impulse drop down menu. Also select preferences and make sure you have "Show Pre-Release Alpha/Beta" selected. That should do it...
I dont see the controller an any innovation in gaming input over the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard and mouse aren't the "holygrail" either, they are just convenient and open. The controller wasn't made an an innovation, it was something shoehorned into gaming, forced by console companies since it's their interest to sell more 360s and ps3s.
I disagree. Dual analog sticks was an innovation that also changed t
I am not "afraid" of cross platform per se in Diablo 3. However, there will be some limitations in the game itself that will arise from limited memory of the consoles, limitations in the CPU and the GPU, and a simplified control scheme.
True enough and at this point it's probably much to late in development to address the issues of limited memory when trying to port it over as the engine needs to be designed with this in mind. The CPU and GPU in the XBOX though are more
I remember this from years ago. Tried it single player and the AI cheats so hard it's painful. They can do a bazillion actions per turn, get blatantly better production, and psychicly predict events. One turn all the AI changed all their production to food for some reason. I was baffled...until an event that turn hit that increased all food production! Unless I'm mistaken and the events are actually fixed, that's going
Well then you don't hate Steam that much, do you? If you really hated it, you wouldn't have bought anything, deals or no deals. Nor do you want in the Elemental beta that much either, otherwise you would have pre-ordered it instead of buy whatever you got on Steam.
First of all I just found out about Elemental. No email no nothing from Stardock. Second I hate STEAM with a passion as a matter of fact. It's sitting in my tray EATING 75MB of ram right now for no frakking r
Haha I got much higher end system specs than you and I still had to purchase my pre-order to get into Beta
LOL newer and faster doesn't make it a better test bed really unless your testing out how much you can push. At least I know my rig is stable and works 100% Makes debugging a bit easier when I'm not troubleshooting hardware. It's past it's prime though. I will be upgraded in time for Diablo 3 don't you worry :)

Looks like the people in beta right now are doing just fine anyways. Maybe I'll win the VE3D contest. I know I got the answer right at least :)
Ubisoft removed Tages and all DRM from Dawn of Discovery DVD version in a patch sometime last year. I believe it's still on the digital version (Steam, Impulse, GG) though.
So they removed Tages and went to the internet connection required with the DVD version or did they just remove Tages? My buddy put over 400 hours into that game and tells me to buy it all the time but I just can't bring myself to use Tages if I'm buying from STEAM or D2D or whatever. Game was on sal

Who were the winners? I did actually manage to get my info in before the cut off and I answered Galciv or The Political Machine. Not sure if I had to specify OS/2 but at least I got the name right. Andrew sent out replies stating the contest was over and Stardock was handing out the keys. So who were the lucky five?
You missed it: https://forums.elementalgame.com/385882
Figures as much. Thanks for info. Nothing stopping Stardock from dropping one in my email box though. I guess owners of Galciv2 and Sins get the short end of the stick? Where is the coupon for the people that support this company and BUY their products? Sad really. Sign up on a forum and get a coupon. Support the developers and get nothin
Okay.. so I got all excited about my 10% coupon for Elemental's Army getting 1000 members and I've been on the edge of Pre-Ordering the game so I can enjoy the frustrations of the Beta and work to contribute to the development of the game (I'm an owner of Galciv I & II, SINS.. basically there's probably entire months of my life that've been spent in StarDock games).. so I went to do the Pre-Order...
So how does one get a 10% coupon?
