Well when the avenues of communication are closed to us in this community what's the point. 90% of the people I cared about are gone. And the 10% that's left is only .00001 percent of the community. So tell me again, what's the point of developing anything for this "community"?

Damn good idea but the writers would require compensation which wouldn't allow for much of a profit to help keep the site afloat. Unless you would find any skillful skinner willing to donate something like that which in this day and age it seems they want compensation for everything

I don't know why this hasn't been posted yet but the first true skins site to ever hit the net has reopened it's doors back under community control after that horrible fiasco with the Changemusic Network. This is a site were many big names such as myself, shoggot, matrix and many others helped to start the skinning revolution. I must say it's great to see it back to it's former glory. Go show your love!

Ok, look to answer your question very simply, it's because just as Neil enjoyed developing WB and "hacking" the Windows GUI, people will also want to do the same. Using WB just wouldn't be as "fun" in certain cases. Are you forgetting your roots Mr. Brad?

I think he meant BlackBomb which is the code name for a very distant version of windows that speaks of using SQL Server as it's filesystem, among other outstanding leaps in what we know as an OS. I think that's due out around 2004.

Eraser point most definitely. Touchpads are a pain but after ya get used to the eraser point it's much better since you don't have to take your finger off to go from one end of the screen to the other.

Well as many of you know that at first the owners of DeviantArt had hosted us for awhile and they got short on cash and gave us the boot. Then the fine folks at DeskMod gave us a place to call home. Which after a little adjustment worked out really well. Then of course DeskMod got a bit tight on cash and had to close up shop. So what are we going to do know you ask? Easy, take a summer vacation and worry about it in september. So we'll see ya then with some great new skinnable
