Hmmm...maybe it's a bug, because it only seems to work half the time. I'll hit g, and it will work for a few turns, but then eventually the camera will switch back to the unit as if it's idle (and not guarding)

If you want MoM so bad just go buy it off of GOG.com. Elemental is its own game (and an amazingly fantastic game at that)
Is there a way to just tell a unit to guard until I tell him otherwise, So that it doesn't keep switching the camera to the "idle" unit every turn?
Great! I know I've seen the 1st bug pop up a couple of times in the support forums, so I don't think it's a one-off. Here is a link of a few people having this issue: https://forums.elementalgame.com/392639/page/1/#2734130 I can get the savegame as soon as I get home from work....how can I get it to you? (I don't see how I can attach a file in the forums)
So should a single hero be able to defeat multiple squads?
If those squads are weak enough...yes?> Why wouldn't he be able to? He's not a peasant!
You do know that everyone has different hardware, OS, and software configurations...right? These settings are worthless to everyone but you. Considering the campaign is completely broken, and there are still a large number of bugs, I sure hope the dev team doesn't plan on taking any time off until these issues are taken care of.
First fix the crashing and memory leaks Then fix champions/heros Do not allow item stacking. At most a hero/champion should have one of each boosting item. (ie Prevent 10 eagle sight items on one champion etc) make them more able to deal with squads, perhaps once you get to squads the champion can attatch to a squad to boost the squads ability/moral Do not go down the path of enabling a single champion to defeat
Same issue...can't build in some of my cities. Plenty of resources/tiles to pay for the stuff, but they are grayed out.
2 Problems: 1) I built a new town, but can not build anything in it. no huts, No market, nothing. I can build fine in all other towns. This town is very close to the Blue NPC Fortress in the beginning of the campaign (4 squares away) 2)Units I train cannot pass through the Garrison, even though I completed the quest and was able to go through with my hero and the army that was with him at the time. Any ideas?
Guess what! Update! P.S. They didn't state a time other then in the evening.
Actually, he said it would be ready tomorrow morning. then evening. and now midnight. Pretty ridiculous.
15 min until it is no longer even day-0, and now I need to go to bed. Pretty disappointed that I sat here and waited all day for absolutely nothing. This should have been ready first thing in the morning. Fantastic game, but terrible management. Here's a tip: Stop announcing times if you can't keep them.
Where the hell is the update?
finally!
It does include a code on the back for a bonus campaign. Can't wait to read it. Thanks Brad! The Cover: Bonus Campaign:
According to Frogboy in this post multiplayer will be out next week. Just relax, they haven't put the servers up yet. They've been working nonstop for the 0day patch that is coming out later today. They don't want to put in the MP until its ready for public consumption.
Can you still play MP on a lan?
I've been seeing this since Beta 3. When you highlight the Food and Coins at the top of the GUI it gives you a number. I assume that is the rate of growth per turn. I click the turn icon and neither goes up by that exact number. I am sure that some of that is based on the use of resources by current units and buildings, but for me that number should be the actual number of resources being created after what ever is being used. Also, ensure nothing is running in the background and that your graphics settings are lower.
That sounds like a memory leak, not performance issues.
Here is just a few quick thoughts: First, lets get the bad over with. Negatives: -Some performance hitching (I have an i7 920 w/ gtx 285, I shouldn't be having performance issues, but the game with hitch while zooming out, or when combining armies, or at the end of a turn) -Lack of Documentation/Tutorial (I'm having to figure a lot of things out by trial and error) -
