If there were a way to encrypt everything and still have it userfriendly (like everyone you're communicating with using the strongest encryption there is) I would always use it. If people only encrypt things they absolutely DON'T want the government to see then it makes it too easy for'em. This is like in Deus Ex where the internet were hardwired into Area 51. Sci-Fi stuff becomeing real....oh man! This makes it quite impossible to hide what you're doing online
The question for me is: Which site can you trust? I like Destructoids reviewsystem since a 5 is average and 7 is good, just as it should be, gamebuyer expectations be damned!
My guesses: Galactic Civilizations III - Hell! It's about TIME! Fall From Heaven III Sins of a Solar Empire expansion/DLC Elemental DLC Reasons: The cool spaceship highest up tells me "SINS". The devils tell me FFH because LH have only humanlike beings. The Elemental picture of the evil woman tells me LH DLC Galactic Civilizations III is overdue and it's about tim
I always pay what I have to pay for a normal full game. Its 10 punds in this case. I support many projects and this is my standard rule I have backed 20 projects (19 video games and one board game). 5 of them were not funded. 2 or 3 of the non-funded seems to have found money elsewhere so they may come to pass. 2 projects are finished (Warlords from Sweden and the Defense Grid expansion). I am most exited about B
That was cool. Thought the little vehicle would slip of the rail at some points. That bridgepart was a little scary [e digicons][/e] Austria really is beatiful. Lots of green valleys, alps, cows roaming around (and tourists in those little railvehicles...;))
The problem about metacritic is twofold: Different sites using different gradingscales Including every site For example, a magazine I used to read 15 years ago called SuperPlay (consolemagazine) said once that in THEIR magazine, 50 wasn't the average. 75 were and therefore 50 meant "quite below average". I never thought about it much until years later when I realized that their gradingscale was publishersucking BS!
Slightly over £20.000 raised! Only £2000 left! MAN! When I last checked they had raised like £15.000! How much have you funded, my fellow Norwegian forumite? [e digicons];)[/e]
Looks cool. About to fail its kickstarter though [e digicons]:\[/e]
Quoting Campaigner, reply 31 I bought Puzzle Quest 2 on Steam since it has achievements. If there wasn't a SteamWorks version then what is the incentive to buy it since there is no downside to pirating it. Common sense, since you want a developer to have sufficient funding to continue making games you enjoy? Ethics, assuming a willingness to give others value for their own hard work, much as we
So how has it gone with peakoil? It feels like it isn't real when nothing has changed. No panic, no shortage of products. Just slightly more expensive fuel.
I haven't seen the pressconference (5h of boring..? No....just no!) but listened to SweClockers, Angry Joe and Francis and it seem to be gimmicky with the TV stuff. I'm not gonna get one no matter how it turns out. There's some damn funny videos about it though! Seen these? First two are from Francis and the third is from Angry Joe [e digicons][/e] http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscree
A whole lot of text (too much) but tell me, how will the fighting play out? X-COM (the new one)? Is it sandbox like Legendary Heroes?
Infrogames owns it as far as I can see. Isn't there some database about who owns what? Can't anyone just contact Infrogames and ask them? Whether the Master of Magic rights will be up for bidding awaits to be seen. There will be a list of what you can bid on, just like when THQ shut down, right?
DRM can mean many things so it must be specified what exactly it means. SteamWorks I support since it feels worth it to buy games with it since you get achievements and the Steam overlay. I bought Puzzle Quest 2 on Steam since it has achievements. If there wasn't a SteamWorks version then what is the incentive to buy it since there is no downside to pirating it. Yes, I said it. I want to support gamedevelopers. I
Hey Pacov, since LoL is your main game I'm wondering if you're trying to go for tournaments. LoL is the biggest E-Sport right now and has the most money. You and your team who have played for so long surely wants to participate in one of those big tournaments ey? :)
I cannot play star craft, get my ass handed to me every time. The simple reason is inadequate difficulty level or broken difficulty level, because obviously i need proper easy difficulty level to learn the game and then improve. Never had a game slam the door in my face like that.... oh wait, there was a game like Quake 3, forget the name? That game also slammed the door in my face because the re spawn was broken, in other words you get
Good video about BioWare & EA. It explains WHY BioWare gets affected by EA and WHY EA simply can't change.
I've never played company of heroes, but I tried playing a real tactical RTS recently, Wargames: European Escalation. I didn't realize virtually all the game is just positioning your tanks and guessing which units the enemy is going to send at you. Just micromanaging a few units around was totally boring to me.
I've only seen the official trailer for that game and MAYBE a gamecast (can't recall if it wa
Diablo II: The Lord of Destruction -8p on Nightmare (just FORGET about HELL difficulty on 8p mode [e digicons]:(O[/e] ). Things just don't DIE!!! [e digicons]X|[/e] TMNT - NES. Never made it to the last boss. ALWAYS died in the fucking technodrome! Can't think of any other games now. Checked through my STEAM library as well but nothing there.... Haven't tried Dark Souls. boshimi , Moving on to 64-bit I support. Brad though only talks about "hundreds of units on the battlefield" which kinda make me think that that is the prime reason for RTS to go 64-bit.... I do hope that my RTS-preference survives. Thing is, I'm not sure it will [e digicons]:\[/e]
How long AoW 3 is in development already?
Can't find the info on their official forum but atleast two years. Release in Q3.
I really like these articles about computerhardware, 64bit, DirectX 11 and such :) About zooming in and amount of units on the field, I don't want the player to be able to zoom out and neither do I want large armies. I like Company of Heroes which have a maximum outzommed camera and have abandoned the old "unit spam" RTSs like C&C, StarCraft and Supreme Commander that focused on macromanagement. I feel alone on that in this place but then
When I see the screenshots I think of a lowbudget TBS whereas Age of Wonders III is a highproductionvalue TBS. What will make it or break it for me is the retaliationrules. If they are like in Master of Magic and Age of Wonders then it's not for me. I need it to be like in Age of Wonders II/Age of Wonders Shadow Magic where you can drain enemies retaliationstrikes. That improvement alone was absolutely critical. It made hightier units (especially with enhanc
Gearbox....They made two great shooters and a good expansionpack over 10 years ago. What do they know about spacestrategy?
