Styler is an app to apply .msstyles themes plus skin Explorer's buttons. The most interesting aspect is it's ability to colour themes. It works quite well for what it does. It's also a 30-days (or so) trial version, ergo shareware. It's been around for a while now.
I would expect IIS to play foul. I don't get gzip-ed content either (Mozilla), so it's not just Opera.

There are plenty browsers that support RSS feeds. Or was that sarcasm? Anyhow, what remains to be seen is how they plan on using it. RSS being primarily aimed at news syndication, thus being a plain, linear list of messages. It's not very complex or anything.

Oh, one minor hint, halfway through the installation proces, setup will reboot your machine. Be sure to not let it boot from the cd again this time, otherwise it will start the installation all over again. I always fall for that one.
The evil aspect is not so much the relatively off-topic things it finds, but those bloody, whatchamacallem, link pages. Google should implement a system that recognises what type of page it is indexing (shop, link page, article, forum, etcetera) and then add modifiers so I can filter out the types of pages I don't want. Ofcourse, that's rather hard to automate.
