I've been using Vista since RC2 was released. I miss the skins soooo bad. I just can't wait for releases that support Vista. I never thought I the biggest problem with Vista, for me, would be missing the skins I so enjoy. Thanks a bunch to all of you who work so hard on them. You folks are awesome!

Its insulting to all of us beta testers that have been using Vista since even the alphas of Longhorn. It pisses me off bad. I'm not sure who you are angry with...is it the people who copy it, downgrade it, dislike it? Why would you, as a Beta tester, be upset that someone's personal opinion is not liking something. I work on stuff all the time t
I thought I would really like Aero for Vista, but after a week of it, I'm ready to vomit. What do the rest of you think? Does Aero appeal to you? Do love it, like it, or hate it? I can't wait to see what skins can be made by some real artist though!
This may have been asked before. What Stardock software works correctly with Vista RC1? Also, when will the first beta of WB Vista be released?
I'm not so happy with RC1 but I don't know that it is MS's fault. No drivers anywhere for my blackberry, and when I use my TV Tuner card in any size window other than full screen, the video gets all screwed up. If I could get the Blackberry to work I'd be able to test it more. Any word on when Office 2007 B2TR is due out?
Sorry for the double post but I thought this might be a more appropriate place to ask this question... Has anyone tried a Blackberry Device with RC1? On the Beta it would not work. The old drivers wouldn't work with Beta 2 and Blackberry has not released any new ones. I'm curious if RC1 will work with the old drivers or are we going to need to wait for a driver update from BB.

I must say...I am so excited that GUI Championships are coming. I do not have graphic artistic bone in my body. But some of the best skins I have ever seen have come from other GUI OLYchampionships. I won't be participating but I will be encouraging. Is it possible for my company to provide some type of contribution to the prizes or awards?
I run a 200gb IDE system drive, (2) 250GB in RAID for 500gb total, (1) Lacie 500GB Big Disk on firewire 800 and (1) 250gb Lacie D2 on Firewire 800. Plus 3 IDE DVD recorders and 1 External DVD recorder on firewire 400. I edit a lot of video and am running out of space. But it all works great.
Quick Question...Has anyone received an invite for Vista Beta 2 yet. I realize MSDN and Technet plus folks have it...but what about those of us who need an invite. Frankly, I was surprised to get the Office invite before the Vista invite. I don't know why, I just thought Vista was further along than Office.
I did too Phoon. The only problem I am getting is with the updates for Outlook 03. I kept reconfiguring Automatic Updates to not automatically install but still had problems. I finally removed it. I guess there could be problems with sharing a .pst file between 2 programs.
Here is an interesting tidbit. This morning XP downloaded a security patch for Outlook 2003. I wish I had read what it was specifically. Anyway, I installed the patch and it broke Outlook '07. (I haven't uninstalled Office '03) When the patch was installed it appeared to overwrite a critical file for Outlook. I did a system restore and it all works again. Welcome to the world of Beta! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIG
My Activation worked tonight at 10:30pm Eastern. Interestingly...I had a new PC I was working on today and needed to activate Office 2003 and that would not work either. I ended up calling the big phone number. The phone automation system was working great. But that won't be any help with Beta 2. My guess is the whole internet system for Activation was down today.
Thanks for the insight.
Just saw this... http://www.avid.com/exchange/forums/post/90831.aspx so no defraging my media drives.
I need to invest in a defrag utlilty for my system. I use XP on 2 machines. One of them has nearly 1.5t. of hard drive space for video editing. I'm wondering what a good defrag utility would be for large files (In excess of 2gb) that could clean up some of my stuff.
This may seem like a dumb question but...I was wondering if anyone had done a system with dual-boot XP and Vista. I'd like to test Vista but I am not ready to dedicate a machine for it. Can I take my existing machine (That claims to be "Vista Capable" by the little sticker) and set it up for dual-boot with Vista beta2 and my existing XP.
Maybe I'm just clueless, but can anybody tell me why Icon X will not load on startup with DX also loading on startup. If DX loads on startup then IconX has to be loaded manually. Maybe I'm just not getting it? Thanks for your help...
I'm not a "progammer" by any imagination. But does it really take 5+ years to develop a new operating system from a company that specializes in making operating systems? Or is M$ just over it's head in red tape? I'm being serious here. I really would like to know, from some of you who are programmers, if that just seems like an insane amount of time for development. Maybe I'm just to used to the amazing service I get from Stardock? Heck...you could bui
Being in the "rock" catagory as Kevin is...I must agree with him. Catagories for beginners and such are silly. Do you see catagories for "Beginners" in the real Olimipics? I don't think so. At the same time, When it comes to artistic skill, you either have it or you don't. A true artist has the ability to be an artist from the day they are born. It is not something a non-artistic rock as myself can learn. So why have a catagory for "Rocks" as myself?<b
I also wish I could spell. Jafo, you're slacking off!
It is very frustrating to be discounted just because of my age, I don't hink anyone here has discounted you. On the contrary, I find you to be very engaging. Your comments reveal a person with deep convictions and a certain deep understanding of what you call the truth. I believe your age credits you
Adamness...You really are very young. (That is NOT an insult) I read some of the stuff on your website. It would not be appropriate to comment on it here, but I really think you have it all wrong. However, I commend you for not being afraid to voice your opinion. (I feel the need to remind you that you can voice your opinion because of the country you live in) To someone like myself, what you are saying is not, by any means, rational. So to
Adamness, I am not accusing you, by any means, of being racist. But, singling out a specific group of people as being more problematic than others is a road to racism. I am also not trying to sell you my belief. I respect your choice to do as you wish. Again, this is an example of people in the majority acting as if t
More than I can say for many so-called 'Christians.' And Athiests for that matter, or any other religious or non-religious affiliation. "Christians" are not perfect and neither is anyone else. Next, you'll be saying that the African-American population does all the killing and stealing in America. We
