It's been a long time since I've been around. Just thought I'd see how everyone is doing. So...Hello! How is everyone doing? And isn't time for Wincustomize to do a refresh? It looks the same as it did 20 years ago. Which could be a good thing I guess?

I've never been much for the "Eye for an Eye" thing. Life's not that fair. If it were we'd all be dead. A person's point of view mucks it up too much. Your "eye" might judge me a criminal...but someone else's "eye" may judge me a hero. Eventually throughout your life someone will want you dead.
Update...I'm not much for the death penalty...but Muhammad is scheduled for a lethal injection on Nov. 10. I confess I probably would feel different if he had killed one of my family. But I think it is a sad state of affairs when the citizens do they very thing they condemn themselves. He is captured, he is not a threat in prison. (Perhaps the inmates I guess) But I just can't find it acceptable. Now...I invite your perspectives...but BE CIVIL! There is no need to flame anyone!
Jafo...Did you write this? http://xkcd.com/406/
Awesome website...look at this one... http://xkcd.com/612/ So true...Thanks Jafo!
I have been running Windows 7 RC since it was released. While it works well...I hate the thought that I will need to reload my system. Plus...I'm going to 64-bit and didn't want to install it until I knew I would not need to re-install it. Well...thank goodness for Technet. I suspect I'll be busy August 6th. http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windows7/archive/2009/07/21/when-will-
Did you take a hard drive from an existing system with XP installed on another machine and then just try to move that hard drive to this machine? If so, XP has to be re-installed. One XP installation will not typically work on another computer. XP is "custom" if you will, to the machine it is installed on. The drivers and settings are configured to a specific machine. If you simply move that drive to another PC the installed drivers and such do not match the new PC and problems are created li
ESET NOD32...Used and have sold it for years. We go around all day fixing or removing Symantec consumer suites. I'm blown away at what people put up with from a company like Symantec. It has got to be the biggest resource hog around.
Ya Zubaz...I think that is part of the reason. We typically do $30Grand with Dell as a reseller but we haven't sold but 1 PC in 3 months. Even through Christmas it was dead for new PC sales. But people are fixing them left and right. Plus...with some of these really bad viruses out today our average service call has increased significantly. The other big part is we drive everywhere. People don't want to bring in thier PC to a shop anymore. So we do almost all our work on location and
Hard to believe nearly 5 years ago I started my company... http://toejo.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=55744 Back then I never missed a day without Wincustomize. I get here so little now I have to look to figure out how to make a post. I hope all is well with each of you. My company is incredibly blessed. We have had amazing growth despite the economic woes of the majority. Someday I'm gonna sit down and actually mak
You gotta admit...That's one cute little black and yellow fairy costume Frogboy has on! ;)
It's all starting to make sense now! :SURPRISED: :HOT:
Jeff...I would be thrilled to try fences. How 'bout an invite? :CONGRAT: ;)
I was mistaken. After further investigation I discovered that it is entirely possible to go back to the original setup. Thanks for your insight everyone.
I have a shiny new iPhone3g. It does some stuff really well. It does some other things very poorly. On the one hand...there are a bunch of really nice aps and customizations I could use if I jailbreak it. Things I would truly use and appreciate. And I've never been real afraid of modding and tweaking and diving into beta software. On the other hand...it voids my warranty and I believe once I jailbreak it I can't "UnJailbreaak" it. Some of the aps may be buggy. (But c

I tried this program a long long time ago. It was ok then but not something I was really willing to spend $40 on. Today, I downloaded it again and I've gotta say...IT"S AWESOME. I really like it. The only flaw I can see is how it takes my machine so much longer to finish it's boot. The changes I see from then to now are not so much cosmetic but rather in usability. Cosmetically it has always looked great, but functionally, years ago, it wasn't quite right. I can tell you have put a lot of ha

I think the link on the top of this page... [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/downloads.asp"]WWW Link[/link] appears to link you to the preview of CursorFX as opposed to the link at the bottom of the page seems to allow you to download the "public" release of CusrorFX. Hope this helps!
Done...thanks Zubaz!
I'm trying to upload a Dreamscene file but I don't think it is finishing properly. Can one of the kind Admins tell me if it has been received and if not, any tips on how to make it complete properly. If so, then you probably have it 3 times...forgive me.
jebro... I actually tried to brush away that annoying little gnat on my screen. Sometimes I wonder how I became a PC Tech. ;p
I really don't know much about aliens. And I certainly don't know much about gravity...other than knowing it's there. But I definitely know all about gaseous clouds. And there is one in here now that is a lot stronger than M.42. Must be all that "All Natural" salsa and chips. I now know what they mean by "All Natural!" Somebody pass the Bean-O.
And for the record...I am a follower!
