Hnag in there. Starkers! She'll come around..but it might take a while. You have done all you could. Now it's up to her. All you can do is love 'em.

Chocolate and lots of it helps!! (and possibly distract those hostage negotiators back there!)
'Po...here's how I did my Virginity blind: I always do the start panel first...don't know why...just do. You'll see that the start panel is mostly square. I liked that but wanted it a bit softer so I made an image of what I would like the window and frame to look like: basically I used the rounded rectangle tool, drew a rounded box of approx 400 by 400 px on a transparent background: then I added a "stroke" to outline it, then tinker
yeah...still hurts...so won't repeat it... and you?
I agree..screenies are great, and I love seeing what people have done with their desktops. I agree that the "Just In" should be for the actual stuff like icons, rainy's, WB's, walls, etc. Naming is personal..so could be a bugaboo. Some people even get offended if you shorten their proper name! Me, I could care less, B, Bet, Bebop, boop....I'll answer to them all! So it stands to reason that keeping names of screenies, wb's, ra
Photoshop CS2 doesn't do .tga's very well....so it's great that Skinstudio changes .png's to .tga's for you! The places you need .bmp's for sure are : 1) the drop down menu item image (you can use the same one for the startmenu item image (programs and places item) and the more programs items image. You just adjust the frames by adjusting the margins.....the main menu item image is 5 frames of identical size...say 25 x 25...your combined
Rootbeer!!! day or night person?
'Po...your start panel images(and for that matter, most of the images you need) don't have to be .bmp's...you can use .png's and skip the magic pink! You'll only need it for the window frames (non WB5 frames) and the logoff dialouge buttons (if they are any shape but rectangular!). I usually make my images one at a time...and play with them until I think they are just right. That way I can adjust each piece to my liking and have a psd of
Starkers....all you can do is love 'em.... Hang in there....I know you've probably heard it before, but get some councelling for the entire family unit...it helps, believe me. We had a really tough time with daughter # 2who believed it to be great to live out on the streets, panhandle and flop wherever - but hung in there, learnt to stop reacting to the button pushes and how to handle the stress it puts on the whole family. She is now a
I wholeheartedly agree with the post and firmly believe one can be critical and still civil. Negative comments can be useful to those of us just learning the art. But there is a qualification to this: If you think something is a piece of crap, say so, but say WHY you think so and offer ways to help the artist evaluate and perhaps change your opinion. By saying this is crap and not elaborating on your reasoning, just ma

Jaget, my thoughts and prayers are with you. ...try to eat as healthy as you can...vent often...keeping it bottled up only adds to the stress which loweres your ammune system even further. My brother in law - hodgskins - has been in remission 25 years and counting....My mom...skin cancer...and clear for 30 years.....my eldest daughter...skin cancer at 14, and a big scare five years ago...they were talking double masectomy(she wa
Thanks...sorry my question was so ambigious. SD , you hit the nail on the head!! Here's another try at making the mud clearer!! I posted a Screenie of an original blind that I have not yet released...and I did use tubes and brushes in it's creation ...so, I was wondering if I did interpert the rules correctly for the last contest, and assuming that the rules are
Do the same rules apply? If made a Screenshot that is up already it is not eligible? Just checking....
Guys...the test skin option isn't working...I get a nice little notice that I should advise Microsoft of the problem. Am using 4.9.0 build 1084. It was doing the same thing on WB5 when I tried it out. Forgot to mention that I tried the uninstall, reinstall of the program and the problem persists.
Glad everything is OK. I feared the worst when I kept getting a "document has no data" msg! and a HIP HIP HURRAH ! to you all!!
I love SA! I especially like the In Progress section --you can submit stuff you are working on and get imput on how to make things better or change something you never even thought of! And the tutorial section...and the ask a question answer a question and ...oh, hell...I JUST LOVE IT ALL!!! And I agree with SD...I am a member of both sites, and I thi
Happy, happy birthday, Jon! Hope you are having a great day, my friend! :hugz
My heart goes out to you and your family at your loss. Valhalla. A very good friend of mine also lost his brother to this terrible disease a few years ago.
Thank you NT!!! Didn't want to take you away from making the winning skin for the contest
