I have the very same problem. The proprietary usericon for the skin I am using used to be displayed, if it had one. I think there was one skin that had a horrid usericon, hehe, so I disabled that feature in the User Overrides section. Then just today I wanted to have the usericon for the "Antares" skin displayed and enabled that option again. But the default usericon only displays. I've reapplied the skin, logged off/on, and rebooted but no go. And yes

Corky_O & Koasati, Thanks ... I reset the icon size to 32 and the improvement was remarkable. One can only guess why the size was set to 39. Hopefully, this will stick from now on.
Let me see if I can explain this in a cogent fashion. In "Display Properties/Appearance/Effects/Advanced/other advanced controls" and the item "Icons", the size displayed on my system is "39". Is this Window XP's default setting? The reason I am asking is most all of the Desktop icons, regardless of which icon set I use, appear a bit ragged around the edges, even with "Clear Type" enabled. If I increase the size from 39 to 48, for example, the
Anyone know where I can get a copy of the "Alloy Bezel 4" skin by vf? The link here in wincustomize is dead. The original download link is here: https://www.wincustomize.com/download.aspx?LibID=1&SkinID=4307 Link to details of this skin is here: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4307&LibID=1 THANKS EDIT: Found it here: http://www.skinplant.com/library.cfm?lib=1&skinid=293&strow=
Sorry... I misspelled the name of the skin. It is "Synthek" which you can find here: http://danillooc.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?SID=2950&skinid=4742&libid=1&UID=1283096. Thanks for the suggestion to move my Wallpapers images to C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper. But I would rather have them more accessible, such as C:\Wallpaper, which is where I have them now. It is much easier for me to find, test and change wallpapers in that location and likewise using the "Browse" in Display Properties.
Cavan1, Yes, what you wrote is true. And I owe an apology to aufisch in that I was using the terms which are common when using StyleXP. What WindowBlinds calls "skins", StyleXP calls "Visual Styles". What WindowBlinds calls, "Suites", StyleXP calls, "Themes". But in the Theme Manager menu/tree on the left, WindowBlinds calls "skins" "Visual Styles", which makes for some confusion. And even more confusing is that Theme Manager calls "msstyles" (Visual Styles) files "MS Themes".<
1) I am having a problem with one particular skin being applied in a suite I made. The name of the skin is "Synthec". When I switch to this suite, the wallpaper and icons are changed, but not the actual skin. The skin in current use remains. This is the only suite I've made that does this. Any help as to how to correct this problem? 2) Wallpaper choices are limited to those files in "C:\Windows\Wallpaper" in Theme Manager. Is there a way to br
Thanks, but playing around in Theme Manager I found out with SkinStudio installed, these Visual Styles, which as I said are NOT WindowBlins skins but the visual styles I installed when using StyleXP, when applied can then be used with "File/Save Desktop" to make a new theme. They may not be technically converted to .wba files, but they then can be applied using Theme Manager or from the WindowBlinds GUI.
The one under the arrow head is Colony Thanks....... that is what I was wanting to know. Sorry that my arrow wasn't as clear as I thought it would be.
Sorry for posting this here, but I didn't know where else to ask the question. As a new "convert" to WB I must say that the documentation/help for some of Stardock's products are more than lacking. Even where the Help does have some information, "Self-explanatory" doesn't cut it in some instances. I'm sure glad that this Board exists. Now my newbie question: In Theme Manager, on the
Is that in any program and any menu or just spesific to one program? It would appear that this applies to just this one program's context menu.
I'm experiencing what I would call an annoyance with most of the skins I'm using, e.g., "Synthec", "Thunderstorm, "Cyrix", et al. Some context menues display "ghost" links. Is anyone else seeing these? My version of WB is 4.51 build 201. System is Win XP SP-2. Here's a screenshot: Thanks for any advice and/or help.
~Fairyy wrote: The window blind update 4.51 build 201 seems to have fixed a few problems. Where did you get this version 4.51 build 201 of WB? I just downloaded the latest update available online and it is 4.5 build 1.85??
I'd like to extend my thanks should you create a mini-tutorial so that us mortals can rectify this annonyance.
I'm wondering why I see several duplicate Toolbar icon sets in the "My Toolbars" section of WindowBlinds 4.5en? There are at least 4 sets that are duplicated. Is this normal? If not, how do I get rid of the duplicates? THANKS
Thanks for the suggestion.... tried it and nada! I tried using the "Restore Default" for both the current icon and Windows default and neither changed. Hopefully, you or someone else might have something more to suggest.
I am wondering if someone can help me figure out why 2 specific icons are never changed when applying an icon pack with IconPackager (2.5 enhanced)? The two stubborn icons are "Network Neighborhood" and "Internet Explorer". Everytime I change an icon set, these two keep whatever icon the previous set used. I have to go into their respective Properties and manually change them. I've tried deleting the iconcache, refreshing, repairing icons, etc
Thanks, you two for your comments. Master Apprentice Night Train: Yes I was running the Freeware version and experienced the problem I think is going through your mind. I ended up uninstalling everything and reinstalling the Enhanced version and the extra options then worked. I finally got this feature to work. The problem was with trying to change the color using his "White" shellstyle. When I used any of the non-white shellst
I just switched over to WindowBlinds (4.5 enhanced version) and trying to work my way through some of the various options it has. Right now I'm having trouble implementing the "Change skin colour" feature. The skin I'm working with, "Marina", specifically says you can use this feature with it. Simply put, after checking the box, "Enable custom colour support", choosing a color and refining it with the 3 sliders, I then click on "Apply changes" in the d
