@Neil: Thanks for at least making an appearance and letting those of us who are having this problem know that you haven't forgotten about us and/or pigeon holed the issue. @AceMatrix: Thanks for sharing your experience which you had due to TuneUp Utilities. Unfortunately, this does not apply in my case. I have never installed TU on this or any other PC I've owned.

It has been several months since I submitted a support ticket requesting help to resolve this problem with IE9. To this date there has been no resolution and very little communication from the 'powers that be'. I'm not overly pleased that I haven't been able to use Wind
I have used Acronis products for many years. In fact, I used to do beta testing for some of their products, thus I'm somewhat familiar with them. They are generally very good and reliable. However, over the past 4 years or so, the Q&A of their new releases has been rather "questionable". In an effort to capture more of the market, Acronis has focused more on adding new features (a downfall of many software developers) rather than improving already existing features which are most used
Could this have to do with the fact that the Java rendering for ie9 x64 is broken?
Not likely, since my system (all my systems) are 32-bit and as previously reported, I have the problem too.
Just to jump in here and report that I too have the "Tabs" problem in Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP2. I submitted a ticket over a month ago. I have had a few sporadic replies from different individuals... now via e-mail with no indication that a resolution is forthcoming. To iterate what LightStar reported in order to confirm that at least the "Tabs" issue is apparently one and the same: Applying any but the following skins, there are no visible Tabs in IE9, although they are the
And yet I use Kaspersky...which is why I commented...as last time I checked I missed out on about a month....
This 'feature' has just recently been added to the Kaspersky 2012 versions, I believe. I took advantage of it about 3 weeks ago in my KIS 12.0.0.374 by entering in a new Activation code and it made the transition smoothly from my old expiring license to the new one as soon as the old one expired.
A/V proggies do the same thing.
Actually, not all A/V companies are alike. Kaspersky is one of those exceptional companies and an exception to your generally acknowledged rule. You can add a new Activation Code to your current licensed copy of KAV, KIS and PURE and it clearly states that the new activation period will begin without interruption when the current license expires. Thus, you get the full period of time paid for. I ha
Heh, there is obvious some confusion here re: Notification Bar in IE9 and part of that confusion is on my part. My apologies. Terminology is very important and perhaps I have not been accurate or perhaps in understanding what others have referenced??? Anyway... IF the "Notification Bar" is the bottom bar that is part of the new IE9 Download Manager system, then yes I do get that when downloading files everywhere EXCEPT on Wincustomize when the file is a propr

There was an old thread here about downloading Dream files where the OP lamented that instead of getting the expected Download Manager in IE (which you do with FF), it downloaded and installed the file. The answers to his post were unfortunately inadequate to resolve the issue. I am opening this question up again, although it is not restricted to just Dream files; every type of file: CursorFX, WindowBlinds, etc. I am running Vista and IE9 and really find it more than aggravati

I'm wondering how one can re-install any/all of the Object Desktop programs after a reformat if your license has expired? Since you cannot download anything using Impulse, how is this done... or can it be done? IF it can be done, I would appreciate a step-by-step guide. :) TIA
As most were anticipating what Windows 7 was going to be like I too was curious. I've been using it since RC1 and really don't see much to rave about. My Vista Ultimate system is VERY fast, reliable and a joy to use. I haven't found anything in Windows 7 that I would abandon Vista for. There is one thing, however, which Windows 7 did for me which Vista did not do... give me a ton of laughs. This was done indirectly, I admit, because the laughs came and continue to come from those who ignorant
I'm trying to figure out what "Hide in background when not in use" actually does. When it is enabled, the bottom of maximized windows rest just above the dock. Having no system activity doesn't seem to have any effect either. It acts as if it is "always on top". The other option, "Hide off screen when not in use" acts the same as "Auto hide" which is a fall-back alternative. But I would like for someone to explain what the "Hide in background when not in use" option is supposed to do...
I am experiencing the same problem. Deskscapes will not download. I have a fully licenced and valid copy of ObjectDesktop Ultimate. I've tried using the "Reset Data" suggestion w/ reboot. I've uninstalled Deskscapes via Impulse w/ reboot. I've tried to restore my archived copy which failed. Trying to update from Deskscapes (available), I get the infamous error: "The beta of the application you are attempting to download/register is not available." Specs:
In the "History" of this latest update there is mention of documentation for Dream Maker in the installation folder (I think that is what it said). But, #1 It doesn't mention where the installation folder is. #2 In C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\Dreamscapes there is no documentation Is the ability to take a static wallpaper image and create these subtle animations currently available? If so... HOW? :D
