@Neil: Thanks for at least making an appearance and letting those of us who are having this problem know that you haven't forgotten about us and/or pigeon holed the issue. @AceMatrix: Thanks for sharing your experience which you had due to TuneUp Utilities. Unfortunately, this does not apply in my case. I have never installed TU on this or any other PC I've owned.

I'm trying to figure out what "Hide in background when not in use" actually does. When it is enabled, the bottom of maximized windows rest just above the dock. Having no system activity doesn't seem to have any effect either. It acts as if it is "always on top". The other option, "Hide off screen when not in use" acts the same as "Auto hide" which is a fall-back alternative. But I would like for someone to explain what the "Hide in background when not in use" option is supposed to do...

I am experiencing the same problem. Deskscapes will not download. I have a fully licenced and valid copy of ObjectDesktop Ultimate. I've tried using the "Reset Data" suggestion w/ reboot. I've uninstalled Deskscapes via Impulse w/ reboot. I've tried to restore my archived copy which failed. Trying to update from Deskscapes (available), I get the infamous error: "The beta of the application you are attempting to download/register is not available." Specs:
