Long before my Awakening at the age of twelve, I had my first encounter with some strange people who came to teach us (Catholic children of our rural parish) the basics of what we were to believe as Christians. These creatures were called “Sisters.” My first encounter with them was scary. They surely didn’t look like any of my sisters, especi

No matter which side of the political fence you're on, you have here the criteria for voting in November :} George and Laura Bush and John and Therese Kerry are traveling by train to the Super Bowl. At the station, George and Laura each buy a ticket and watch as john and Therese buy just one ticket. "How are the two of you going to

Good for you. I am happy that you have a great CO. It sure makes life easier when you have a leader who is just that. Good night and sleep well.

Not to worry, grey and pseudo...about what I read here. I have lead a sheltered life but my eyes have read worse things and my ears have heard things that might make yours turn red. At least I learn what is happening in my son's life that he otherwise would shield from me. He is afraid to give me grey hair. I don't have much even at this late stage of my life. Get to bed now. Don't you have to go to work tomorrow?

It has been a busy day for me so I am only getting to this site late this night. Sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with the knees. Don't overdue your workouts. Be careful not to push your heart too much. You know that heart problems could come your way. You may have a predispostion for that. Slow and steady wins the race. Take care. Love you.

Greywar and JillUser. This is the site where this originated: http://www.opinionatedjerks.com/cgi-bin/forum.pl? When I read "Opinionatedjerks. com" it made me wonder just how accurate the info was. I found a similar site when in Google search.

xtine, glad you posted that photo again. I thought it told a story in and of itself. This time the photo popped right in. The first time it took awhile to download. Congrats on the progress of your home remodeling. You must not take out much time to relax with all that work but perhaps most of it is relaxing as it is something that you are accomplishing for the future. Take pride in it. Hug K & A for me.

Ordinarily I do not try to influence any other person's vote. I am generally Democratic in my voting but not rigidly so. You bloggers out there, if you know more about what is written below, if this info that I received is bogus, if you more to add, please do. Following is a brief background on Mrs. John Kerry . She hates being called that, by the w

You have come through some horrific experiences. I knew you were suffering (in silence) during those years but you never gave me even a hint of how much you were hurting. I pray that there has been some real healing and that these writings will prove to be some kind of balm for the scars that have been left in your heart. My heart bleeds for you.

Gene Nash, Thanks but that did not work. I don't even know how you get that yellow box in there. OH, never mind. I get along ok just using my simple skills...yet I am more than willing to learn more.

My mother taught her large family of ten offspring by her example more than by specific instructions. She may not have known all the finer points of what it meant to be a Christian, but she obviously looked beyond her own abilities to raise her family responsibly. I will always remember her as a woman of prayer. She was very conscious of God’s presenc

Thanks, xtine. I read all of your articles too and enjoy them. What happened to that great photo you had on there for maybe one hour and then it was gone. I thought that photo caught a unique moment in time and you expressed it so well by both the photo and the write-up. I also loved the descriptions you give as you improve your home. Now that I have a little experience in what it takes to build a home because of my helping out at Habitat for Humanity,

Thanks, son. I feel very backward when it comes to this blogging media. I see how others put someone's quotes in a block (mostly yellow) and I wonder, "How did they do that?" I love computing but I have still so much to learn. So little time.

Thanks, greywar. And sometime when you really have a couple of minutes, could you please send me a step-by-step procedure of how to make a link to something? I know how to cut and paste a web address but I know that there has to be an easier way. Have a great day. Love you. MOM

In my daily experience I have found many occasions for tears and smiles caused by the unexpected circumstances that just pop up along my path. Encounters with my own weaknesses and strengths, coupled with those of others, still provide daily occasions for choosing just what my attitude for the moment will be. Will I enjoy this moment or will I choose to be grou

When you relate people's articles with your own experiences and then you add a comment, you are adding your "special" wisdom to their understanding. Whether they accept it or not is not your problem. If you steal their thunder it must mean you have really added something very "special" to their blog.

CS Guy...Wow that was quick response. Oh, yes, just now your good humor made me smile. Even when I cry at those things, i have found a way to keep myself at peace and I have learned how to enjoy my life. I have learned to eliminate that joy-killing phrase...I will be happy when.....

What Makes Me Cry Greywar has an article (greywar.joeuser.com) about what songs bring tears to his eyes. He has asked those who read his blogs to tell which songs move them. If I had any such songs they would be from an era that most of his readers would not have ever heard. Actually, I rarely listen to modern songs. I love to listen to in

Pseudo - You are welcome! I have no idea what movie you are alluding to. However, I remember how I could not tear him away from that hilarious but really vulgar British TV show "Benny Hill." This was at the tender age of about 5. Mea Culpa!

Greywar, I tried to leave a supportive word for Tal. I tried as an anonymous user since I had no password, but when asked to duplicate those symbols, I was stumped by the first upside-down 9 and when I tried to hear the numbers, they were so muffled , even turning up the volume as loud as I could, I could not hear them. Oh, well, I will keep him and all you brave soldiers in my prayers. Greywar and pseudosoldier, your lewd repartee revived
