Very excited to have the team together!

Here's what I'm leaning towards: Premise: You are the leader of a city state in a world filled with Magic. But the King, the self-styled Sorcerer King, has begun to destroy the magical shards in a quest to become a god. You must build a kingdom and raise a force powerful enough to challenge him while at the same time dealing with rival factions who only care about conquering more land and resources for themselves. <
We pretty much see SK as a gateway to all duck content.
They're also animated.
You can have enemy units do that (it happens to your units as well) if a unit is not targeting a unit and the pathfinding doesn't prevent it, this happens. Basically, the problem here is simultaneous turns. All units move at the same time. Because humans are slow, the effect is that everyone else moves at once and the humans at another time. This results in AI vs. AI sometimes having a hard time targeting the other. It's not common but it is also not a
Yes. We plan to have different sovereign skills address this.
The Elemental dev journals show up both on the SK site and FE site.
Opt-in is coming. I'd guess a week of Halloween opt-in that has the minor factions in and more sovereigns in.
If we can, I'll try get them to do an Xmas sale of some kind. But we actually discourage people from joining army access unless they positively want e game no matter what. :)
We'll call them thralls.
Sk is like 800 years after the cataclysm.
That's what's so amazing... I really never expected to be the worst and most insulting review you've ever had. It was meant to be a WIP, regularly updated review cataloguing the changes in the game. That was my initial intention, I just found the game very frustrating. [edit] I don't know if it'll help but if I were able to edit the review I'd happily throw in lots of: "I think...", "I fou
Frankfurter, choosing to ascribe to yourself all the criticism of the steam forum is a bit much, don't you think? It's not all about you. i don't even think you're a grognard. I think, however, that your arrogance (as displayed in your post) makes your criticisms less valuable. You have little idea what the game's ultimate design is going to be and yet choose to judge it, harshly, on the first beta. Stating that developers don't enjoy reading post
I can live with trolls and criticism. What I don't like is the "Don't argue with me, the customer is always right" attitude. If someone wants to criticize the game, fine. But I'm a developer, not a PR rep. If they want a PR person, that can be arranged. But if they want to talk to developers they're going to be dealing with people who will say "no, actually, what you just said is factually wrong."
Just for the record, Sorcerer King like all Stardock games is fully funded and not relying on Early Access for funding.
Yea, I think the argument that Stardock does early access for the revenue is one of the allegations that annoys me the most. We have always done betas specifically so that people have a chance to put in their 2 cents on what things they'd like. Starbases in GalCiv came from th
Russia has a it he same GDP as Italy. They're not china. I'm not sure how much leverage they have.
The question of why there are so toxic is legitimate. I think there is just a lot of anger out there.. Worse, the trolls are now empowered. Get one of them angry, and they can write a negative review. As for my participation, all I can say is that when I get done reading them I don't want to work on the game. i'm very familiar with many techniques of trying to consciously change my mind on such things such as at least I have my health or don't let a few people get to you.
Roads are going to get a revisit.
Putt g on my calendar to go through these at length.
Heh. Depends on the doc. ;) i think a map seeds doc would be the first one To do.
Thanks, that's very kind of you to say!
Dsag, curious, how many CPU cores are on your machine? I just checked in a ton of optimizations this evening (as in, moments ago) based on a quick perusal. The biggest difference will boil down to cores. The game must have been absolutely horrible for people with only 1 or 2 cores. The Thursday update should be massively better. Now, however, I am feeling pretty terrible for LH as I really need to look at some of this stuff for that too. Maybe t
Even with the fairly limited choices, the game is pretty fun now. [e digicons]:)[/e] Adding the minor races with a ton of variety will make this game awesome. ^^ This is very good to hear: Different minors can provide different types of support for you along with different units. Some are good at providing you with spells. others w
I thought diplomacy was going to be overhauled in 2.0? Personally, I'm not interested in dynasties. I would like to see the loot system overhauled so that it would be very unlikely to get multiple copies of the same item, especially not one after the other.
I'm probably not going to have enough engineering hours to do a diplomacy overhaul in a free update. Even with the DLC, that's
