I appreciate Linux distro's and have no brief against them. I believe they add to the sum total of my computing experiences. I'll play... Not sure about rescuing someone, I don't suppose the individual was in any real danger from others. I think it's also difficult to wear the mantle of the rescuing knight and then announce surprise that the dragon's threw fire. Mostly this kind of intervention seems less about altruism and more about seeing some value{s} you personally respect challenged - and feeling driven to do something to affect an environment that you want to continue to feel able to operate

You will likely need to offer the support folks a little more background. What system are you running? What version of Object Dock? Does it not work for any region, or just one specific region? Have you checked it's not a firewall issue? Those sort of things can all help.
