As the subject says WindowsBlinds installed and activated flawlessly on a new fresh install of Windows. I has something dogging my system SO bad that I could not find. I did every AV and Malware scan I could and checked drivers, instlled programs regedit etc. One thing I did notice is several programs, WB7 included were eating up MASSIVE ammounts of CPU cycles. and I think the WB7 deal was because of all the installing and uninstalling of both the paid and trial version from that horrible tec

Also, your taskbar previews won't work.[/quote] Very good point and from experience I agree. I tried turning off Windows Themes and not only did I not see any resources, per say, decrease much but many of the unskinnable areas looked like the old Windows theme. With Themes en

For one reason or another I have to do a format and reinstall of Windows. Will I have any trouble reinstalling/activating WB7 if I install it through Impulse? Thanks, Joe

Also I asked somewhere here if I would get a discount on Object Desktop since I already bought WindowBlinds. I saw on the StarDock site that I can get Object Desktop for $34.95 if I've bought any one part of it. Joe

Hi, As posted in another thread.... Doesn't seem to matter. As WindowsBlinds seems to apply the Windows basic (or lack of any theme) before applying it's own theme. If you unload WindowBlinds from the icon you're left with no theme at all, just the plain Windows Basic, so I just turned off Windows themes and let WB 7 do all the skinning. Joe

Ok, so no one else has been able to find the fixed version or fixed it themselves? I've seen the fixed version in various suites on Wincustomize but no one will tell me how to get it. Joe

I don't know how else to ask. I have a big list of Windows .theme files in my Windows-Resources-Themes folder like OnlyBlack.theme. If I apply that through the WIndows Persnalize window it turns the theme dark almost black. I want to know if there is a was to import that into WB 7 to use. Joe

Hello again all! I have two almost identicle themes called Lord of the RIngs - Gondor. To be honest I do not know how to tell them apart. Is there anyway you know of of getting any themes info from WB7 like date or maker etc...? Also I did email the makers (Stardock) if the "Molten" theme as some theme creators say there IS a newer fixed version available that they got from the makers to build various suites. I have not heard back from them in a long while. Is t

Hi, How do I make my own Wincustomize page to start uploading and showing my own themes and screens? When I click on "my page" at the top of the page when logged in it says page not found. Thanks, Joe

OO, there's a Wincustomize toolbar? hehehe Well I have been thinking of Ditching the Google Foolbar oop Toolbar anyway as it slows down the opening of the browser, opening and browing pages and yes as I am just finding out it is a HUGE privacy hole. I will try those themes you mentioned. Also I turned Windows Themes back on and I have noticed no performance hit. In fact everything is just about the same but with Themes on I don't get that DRAB look in my browser.

Dunno, that's why I am looking for experiences. I have just turned off Windows Themes and see no "visual" changes in the WB7 theme. As for resources we shall have to see after some tests. I am just kind dissapointed about how crappy IE 9 looks. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. Or maybe I will start using Firefox 5. I figured out a way to get the Google bar to work with it...hehe Joe

Hi, It seems having both WindowBlinds installed and running Windows Themes at the same time uses a lot of resources. Is it necessary to keep Windows Themes turned on to run Window blinds, Is it suggest to leave it on for some reason or turn it off and let WindowBlinds do all the skinning. Just looking for opinions and experiences. I still like a good looking desktop that gets away from the drab "standard" Windows theme. Thanks so much, &nb
