So... again, they serve almost no point at all displayed all the time on the main map. Just clutter that is hard to read through to see what you want.
The lines help the player to find the planets to which they belong. So they serve some purpose, whether intentionally or not ;) Anyway, the display of trade routes not belonging to the player should indeed be connected to intelligence level.
Prototypes should be surpassed by "regular weapons". Prototype literally means "first pattern" from the greek.
I agree. But I agree also that from a game perspective it makes no sense to have inferior prototypes and normal, better weapons available at the same time.

And when you are at it: make it finally possible to set waypoints for your ships and fleets. That is especially necessary with exploring: I explore mostly manually because the auto exploring logic seems ineffective and erratic to me. So I don't want ships to go from A to B only, but they should also cover as much unknown space in between as possible. Currently that forces me to issue orders nearly every turn if said ship travel through partly explored space so with waypoints that woul

I think the problem that ForesterGC is addressing is that ship upgrades happen nearly instantaneous (the 2 or 3 turns it takes don't count as much here). It would be more logical if ships needed to go to a starbase to be upgraded (what should be quite cheap) or be upgraded by special constructors (which could then be relatively expensive, unless somebody at SD feels like implementing some logic to keep track of the cargo such a constructor is carrying ;)).

Yes, as soon as you research the tech to put drones automatically in your planets' orbit and you are at war enemy fleets show up to besiege those planets and do nothing else but shooting down those drones when they respawn. Sometimes the AI follows up with an invasion fleet, but most of the time not. The AI ignores shipyards and starbases nearly entirely, at very rare occasions they shot down one of those, although shooting down undefended shipyards is quite easy (apart from the start

Did you surpass the colony limit of your current government with the new planet? Otherwise I can't imagine why you should suffer such a loss. A planet may have higher maintenance than earnings, but that's a handful of BC at most. While surpassing your colony limit lowers morale on all your planets and that may have a bigger impact.

They obviously forgot to program some AI logic like this: For all ships whithout task: - Is it a planet buffing ship? - No: go on with normal ship logic - Yes: Is ship already in orbit of a planet that profits from buff? - - Yes: do nothing (or look for a better planet within a certain range) - - No: find planet that profits the most from buffing within a certain range (to prevent the ship from travelling 50 turns and squandering the buff meanwh
Oh, btw, there is a nice exploit to be done here... It is totally voluntary, but the temptation is there... When a race surrenders, before ending the turn, you can trade all your techs for whatever you can get with this AI race. Since they are eliminated the turn after, it is a tempting exploit... If at all possible, once the AI has surrendered, before ending the turn, all trade should be disabled. Like I said, vol

In my current, quite advanced (turn 354) Retribution game I have the problem that the notifications in the upper left corner disappear partly when the screen is updated with other information. The list is genrated, but then flickers while other parts of the screen are rendered, and in the end I see only some notification and not all. That is especially annoying if the "There are xx foreign ships in your territory without open borders permission" message is missing since I then cannot click on

Still another one: when you gain a new planet (by invasion or surrender) and you go to the planet screen to set "Do not upgrade until planet is full" then at once all upgradeable sturctures are queued. It would be nice if we could clear the build list with one click.
I have noticed that I have a ship moving into unrevealed FOW that, if I'm not watching it, that it seems that there are areas that don't get revealed (as if it had moved a bit, jumped a bit and then moved again) Haven't seen it a lot lately because I tend to manually control my exploration ships, but I was doing an experiment with using a black hole generator to send a fleet consisting of a stellar architect and a scout acros
