Brad, I understand your need to vent. I can't even begin to imagine the crap you have to put up with. For your own sake, I think you may want to reconsider such posts in the future though. All you've accomplished is to show the very losers you are writing about that they've succeeded. Nobody likes getting called names, but when it happens, think about what you have accomplished with this site. I truly believe that this site is reserved for the best of the best. I've had hundreds of wo

I have to admit the first few times I was rejected it did sting, and it still does , but in most cases when I do go back and look at what I submitted I have to be realistic. Were some of the god-awful? You bet. Were some of them good? Yep. Were the good ones deserving to be on THIS site? No, probably not. Actually, I like it this way. It makes it more meaningful when I do have one approved. To anyon

I like the idea. Would be a lot less subjective. A couple of points to think about. (I know these are all pre-mature, but just some thoughts). How often would the data be sent? Every time you logged onto the internet? Every time you vistited the web site? Would the program know to only send data once per day to avoid overcounts? Only the top 10 or so would be calculated? As Tiggz suggested above, it would be fun to keep track of how many are actually using your skins, but not

Thank you for this post. It has been most helpful! I am very new here and have made a few submissions with no success as of yet. I was beginning to get discouraged. I have learned much in this thread, specifically: Don't overdo it. Looking back, I can see additions I have made to "enhance" a submission (ie: the lens flare) that probably destroyed it. I certainly can understand the positions of the moderators not wanting to have to respond to every single new submission that is rejected o

Thank you for clearing this up a bit. Sorry, I didn't mean to turn your very informative post into a discussion on copyrighting. I'm still trying to learn the do's and don'ts of what considerations are looked at when a new skin is submitted. I've yet to have one approved , but I'm determined.

I am new to this (as I'm sure my naive question will prove), but why do the skins have a category for "OS" with many postings? I know that all of the postings have to be approved prior to being added to the library. On any given day at least one of the top downloads will have the windows logo. Is this an exception? Thank you for your help!
