I've used Windows 7 since the RC and now have the Ultimate version. I have never had a single issue with Windows 7 and I've used all previous versions of Windows (both 32- and 64-bit where applicable). What a wonderful relief Windows 7 is! This makes the once-upon-a-time great Windows XP kinda just "okay." Combined with WindowBlinds 7, Fences Pro and ObjectDock, Windows 7 is just pure daily pleasure at work and home.

Here is my dual-monitor approach...it turns out to be cool and flexible with little strain on resources...even if at first sight it's quite busy. I use the left moniter to monitor resources or to use WMP while working on the right monitor. NOTE: this set-up uses UltraMon which is a software approach to using two monitors for one monitor. Otherwise I also use Stardock's Multiplicity Pro for another setup using 1 monitor and 1 keyboard for 2 computers. [img][/img]

Going from Vista to Windows 7 was not at all problematic for me except for having to install a fresh set of SiS900 drivers. I've been using '7' since it was released in the beta form and it has been a wonderful process of discovery on the new features as well as how some of the older features have been reworked. As a truly welcome surprise, try Stardock Fences on Windows 7...it's really great! :CONGRAT:

I had a similar problem with my friend's computer running XP Pro and it turned out to be an overheating hard drive...not XP and certainly not WB. The drive was old and, aside from a few times starting it, it was simply no longer going to work. It had to be replaced. I hope that you don't end up losing all your files but, as suggested above, you might take the hard drive to a data recovery service. Good luck!

While competition is a great thing in general concept, wincustomize.com just seems to be a hard site to beat and they have been at it for oh so many years. It used to be that you could find current skins easily on deviantart.com for example. Well, good luck with it My visit to the site was an eye-pleasing one.
