So let me preface by saying that I rarely post, but I've been playing and checking in on the forums quite frequently. I am greatly looking forward to Fallen Enchantress being a great success and I think it now stands a very good chance of being well received. Hey there- earlier thread talked about logos so I'm looking into it again and working some up. Really hoping final release makes the faction editor kinder. In the meantime working on a replacement pack as I don't like allot of the colors on the originals. Sadly, adding logos and to core logos alone will not allow you to use logos in the faction editor. You CAN REPLACE logos, and you can simply rename them so that they are ordered differently. For example I plan on grouping all of the different animal variants together for ease of use and organization. PS: Yes I know you can add the logo to the faction through the XML. But for ease of use for non-modders (the people we may be aiming to please) this is a bummer.</p

LAst time I tried this, core logo made these useable, but did Not appear in faction editor. Ill try again tonight. Making crests is pretty easy if you just want new color schemes of existing. Kind of wish they would use menus more friendly for say a 100 logos or more lol.

Always wondered why 4x designers think that cities colonies etc only build one thing At a time. Terrible design IMO and I think if anything a high level city should be able to construct multiple armies and multiple improvements simultaneously. Laundry list build ques are the worst and a hallmark of the cov franchise. Rome wasn't built in a day but they didnt stop building roads and armies for ten years cuz they were busy with the colosseum.

I've been a long term stardock customer and plan to continue being one, but the annoying bugs and lack of usefulness of the faction editor is really started to annoy (especially after oh so many patches and other improvements), and I'm hoping to be placated that the Fallen Enchantress will improve upon it. I think its a waste of time. A) Government Systems like the DoD are already isolated in many, many cases. B) Sole power of the internet kill switch in the hands of the President does not bother me terribly... as he has the power of a much bigger kill switch... I think it rhymes with smuclear whistles. My thoughts: Brad doesn't need to call fans insane, frankly thats unwise and I'm surprised he did as much. Truth is self evident and we have anonymous posters like us for that. Thanks for the advice, checked the XML files as mentioned and unfortunately no issues there that I can tell all the listed values were correct, including 'is custom faction' which was set to true. Notably: made a new faction, saved it, went in to make a game and could load it as an opponent. Left, exited game, came back in... gone couldn't load it as an enemy from that point. I did install expanded factions at one point. I'll probably just reinsta

Hi there, with 1.09 out, I was wondering if anyone has had success adding custom logos to the Faction Editor. I realize you can edit factions and give them a custom logo, but I'm hoping that now we can use the mods folder, that if I simply add logo files, and modify a copy of CoreLogos.xml and have each in respective areas, it would work. IE MyGames/Elemental/Mods/Data/English/CoreLogos.xml MyGames/Elemental/Mods/Gfx/Logos/LOGO FILES<

I think what it boils down to in regards to city spam, is not that I want the devs to specifically ensure that there is no "One tactic to rule them all" so much so, that as of now; A) Requires allot of cities to simultaneously create the numbers of units I find aesthetically pleasing/game winning. Hi there, wanted to post a few thoughts/insights of mine A) City Spam is considered undesirable by the game designers (I'm not saying I prefer it one way or the other, but since it is a stipulated game goal I want to work within that framework). B) City Spam is valid because of scarcity of resources VS size of map VS cost. Cities are cheap, and the AI is very likely to acquire resource tiles without thought to any greater strategy other than to deny them to you

Hi there, picked up Elemental a few weeks ago, regardless of bugs I do enjoy the game, mostly because I see huge potential. My favorite thing about galactic civ, was the ease in which I could make new race portraits and logos, in the end I added hundreds of race portraits and such and want to do much the same here.
