When your game is submitted your serial number will be submitted along with your score. All scores on the Metaverse are directly tied to your player name and your serial number. At some point if you upgrade to Altarian Prophecy you will receive a new serial number. Once you have received this new serial number you should register Altarian Prophecy on your system via Stardock Central. Then you should upgrade your Player Registration on the Metaverse to include your new serial number by converting

I'd start with the expansion and play one of the smaller maps at one of the lowest AI intelligence settings. Unlike most games, the AIs are quite good even at the lowest intelligence settings.
Battles in GC don't leave wreckage. The floating wreckage is actually one of the random anomalies that can be "surveyed" by any ship with the survey ability. Most are generated at the beginning of the game but occasionally more anomalies are randomly placed on the map during the course of the game.
Or is this a bug?
Its a known bug. I'm not sure why it hasn't ever been fixed. :notsure:
I really enjoyed BOTF alot. In fact I still have it loaded on my secondary hard drive. And you're right the Borg ruined a number of games for me. The best aspect was that all of the minors had specials associated with them as well as all of the majors. Plus, you could play any of the major races. I really enjoyed the Federation and the Klingons. :)
Could you perhaps give us a tile legend to refer to? I agree, that with a tile legend, this tile map would be easy to read. I think you are on the right track.
Logistics Mod (approved by SD) Tech numbers used 1001 and 1002 Achievements #16 Secondary Logistics Center #22 Logistics Command Center
"Show pre-release version" needs to be checked to get release candidates/betas versions of AP (or any other game) in TG net.
I need to get back to this (probably after the holidays). I'm playing 4 different games concurrently and all my "play time" is being consumed. ;) LOL
y to go. Assuming this applies to the randomly generated games, primarily, how will the campaign(s),etc be handled? Separate metaverse category?
From a previous thread: #15 by Avatar Frogboy - 10/30/2004 9:56:00 PM Eventually the site will be available to the public. But we wanted to thank those people who bought Altarian Prophecy in particular. Be patient. ;) GC2 isn't even beta yet. :)

my opinion. I like the idea of choice at setup between more fixed and more random. This way more people are happy.
of majority of turns that have only few key decisions to make where the option of automation is crucial to making the game fun.
the attacker. That's why I think these debates, although interesting in their way, are really irrelevant.
Hmmm...since all ships defenses will be rated versus all three attacks, isn't this discussion sort of irrelevant.
ss can be sharp when annoyed.... Hmmm...
Hmmm...remember what your goals are for the scenarios in the campaign. If the goal is become "close" with a specific race without being destroyed, then when you reach friendly, try gifting sytems to reach close relations. As long as you have one system left when close is reached, you win. ;)
Hmmm...sounds like an upgrading problem to me. Since your GC folder contains a GCTech.TECH file that doesn't include Basic Logistics, it sounds like you failed to upgrade GC to latest version that is needed to run with latest version of AP. Make sure you have latest versions of both base GC and AP. :) [Message Edited] [Message Edited]
Hmmm...I just noticed that your mod is in the library under "misc". Unfortunately, it was not certified by Stardock :( I suspected that it might not get certified because of balance issues. If you ever want to tweak it, let me know. I'll try to help you balance it better.
Since mining military resources increases a percentage of the base stats for a particular ship, the changes are easier to see for bigger ships. For example: 10% mining a resource a ship with att=4 and def=4 would show no change since 10% of 4 is 0.4 giving 4.4 for def and 4.4 for att which rounds down to 4 and 4 respectively. However a ship with att=20 and def=10 would become att=22 and def=11 since 10% of 20 is 2 and 10% of 10 is 1.

Nope, galciv2.com is running fine. :)
