There really is no reason to cheat. You can play smaller maps for less than the 60K limit and still go quite high in the metaverse if that's your goal. I have actually scored the max 60K less than 5 times but I made the top 10 in 6-7 months. After playing dozens of games, you can get quite good at the game. The time to play drops from making fewer mistakes plus the time savings from knowing all of the quick-keys and menus by heart. I use mods not to speed up the game or make it easier
Tech how do you post two or three 60000 point masos each day...
a) He's a robot! b) He's nuts! c) He's a mad scientist who developed a time dilation machine! d) all of the above My answer: d) ;) :D LOL [Message Edited]
The website is back up. :CONGRAT:
Hmmm...AFAIK there is no time limit to the +40PQ trigger. This is the very first time that I ever heard anyone mention time limit with regard to empire-wide PQ bonus. There is an economic trigger that appears to go away after certain date (the limits have never been established but are fairly high). I might test your hypothesis this weekend, Icho, since I'm not submitting for score anymore anyway. ;)
Hello! Welcome! :)
Paladin (dreadnaught class) - heals friendly ships
I'm not sure how much the Paladin actually heals (+1%?), but the effects should stack.
Vampire (cloaking tech) - steals hp from enemies
Nasty attack ship. When it attacks a ship, it takes HPs from defending vessel, and heals itself by that many hit points. No stacking possible here.
Sovereign (avatar class) - sector defense bonus
+1 defense to all your shi
Yes, the color is still something I need to figure out. The MDL uses a *.PAL_ file and most programs just just *.PAL ...so I'm stuck when I can't import my original PAL file created in Paint Shop Pro.
You need to use Dark Rain's Palette Editor and follow the instructions found at: http://graphix.galciv.org/ His program will allow importing .pal files and convert them to .pal_ files when selecting "New Palette" :) PS: this site has tutori
You'll need to go to register player in the metaverse and convert them in order to get your older scores to show up. As to your shield being "easy", the anomalous score must affect the calculation of average difficulty. :notsure:
I really did not find corruption in other games to be fun. And afterall, the game should be fun to play and not tedious.
The leader concept does not appeal to me. This should be an optional component introduced as an expansion, if its added at all.
Even at war w/ AI you can get a culture victory.
Actually this isn't true. The cultural countdown stops if your are at war with any major AI.
:CONGRAT: :D :CONGRAT: Adm. Tolwyn!
Its listed in the Galactic Coloseum subforum of the GC forum area. Just follow this link: http://www.neotechgaming.com/index.php?c=38 [Message Edited]
what we are complaining about here is the fact that some retired players scores arn't getting ANY aging applied at all... while the more active of us are... it sucks and not fair
Stardock, as I've stated before, I really don't care what rules and formulas there are for the metaverse. All I want is that they be uniform for all and clearly outlined. [Message Edited]
The Monstrous Mod is one of the few mods that I always have loaded. No feedback is usually good news when it comes to mods. Its been my observation that most feedback is usually when something goes wrong. ;) Thanks to you and turgotZ for your work. :CONGRAT: BTW turgotZ, if you read this, drop by Neotechgaming and say hi.:) [Message Edited]
Hmmm...I just checked to see if I could reproduce crash with latest version of AP and couldn't. My suggestion is to go to Stardock Central, click on "Free Stuff", and download "Smart Exception". Run Smart Exception before your run AP. If the game crashes again, SE will produce a report listing your system specs, OS, and drivers and the errors that occurred. Send the report to Stardock so they can figure exactly what's going on with your game. Normally, they would ask for a save game. Since you a
4. If I'm not attacked first, I find the weakest major or any minor and pounce on them with battle hammers after a 100% switch back to military yields me about 20 billion troops and 15 or so battle hammers.
I usually never go to war first. War is wasteful in the beginning of games unless you can get a one turn kill. Diplomacy is king at higher AI intelligence levels. I never take out the minors unless they are in jeopardy of falling to a major. The minors are more useful
Of course when I discovered my blunder these great forums not allowing editing ended up insulting you with the wrong statement.
Nah, I wasn't insulted. :D I just didn't want Alsan looking for a mod that didn't exist. ;)
I think you'll need to contact Stardock by email for help if this doesn't work. Unfortunately, you'll probably need to wait til after the holidays for a response. And only the whole campaign score can be submitted.
Yes indeed I recommend Moser The Alchemist Event Pack
Actually its an anomaly pack. ;) I'd recommend Matthew Downie's and Nidaros' packs plus any other events that are Certified by Stardock.
Unfortunately, every planet uses exactly same military production ratios based on the empire-wide slider settings. At worlds where you don't want to produce military ships, build constructors for building the first few "free" SBs. Trade, production, and defense starbase modules will all help your economy and ability to withstand attack.
First off, you are correct that diplomacy is a useless pick when at permanent war. Also trade picks are useless too when can't make trade routes. My picks are: Industrialist Party: +20 social production, +20 military production Weapons: +15 Defense: +20 Influence: +10 HP: +10 Soldiering: +20 Planet Quality: +5 My party choice was so I could build colony ships and soil enhancement, bank, etc faster. The military picks are necessary
First, the Redstar IV mod has not been certified to work with GC or AP. The file is as follows: //------------------------------------------------------------------------ SBMOD 57 RedStarIV //------------------------------------------------------------------------ Name "Red StarIV" Model "Starbase01" Tech_Requirement "_3DPhasing" Tech_Requirement "AntimatterWeapons" Tech_Requirement "De
Can you explain me why some users have "(retired)" and "(active)" attached to their alias?
I added retired to my name to let the people below me on the metaverse ladder know that I'm not submitting games anymore. As to why someone would add "active" to their name, you'll have to get an answer from them.
