I have been a subscriber for quite a while and will probably eat a "projected" $5 increase. I am just saying that I have seen these trial balloons sent up before and am concerned that this will evolve into a multi-tier system that will end up frustrating subscribers in making decisions on whether to pay 10 or 15 bucks for that one application that was removed from their tier. I have seen this type of marketing happen over and over again and am disappointed that Stardock chose this

This is the same business model used by cable companies and satellite TV. Start a new tier and remove content from the first one and add it to the second one. I started with direct TV with their top package. Over a few years I ended up at the bottom tier with 30% of the best channels moved to the new tiers. They just eliminated my package and asked if I wanted to subscribe to the new bottom tier at a higher cost. Its just another way to increase costs by deception. No one selling
UPGRADED TO wb 6 via SD central. It asks for activation serial no. All I have is the object desktop serial no. It rejects it. What the heck???
I ran Vista RC1 for a week and saw no redeeming features at all. It was a resource hog and is plagued with incompatibilites. They will go away in time, however I did not even like the looks of it. I prefer XP and my favorite windowblinds. At this time I consider Vista a Microsoft money grab. I tried IE7 too. I think I'll stick with Firefox. I'll probably have to change at some point. maybe two or three years from now.
Yes, 2,236 floppies
I just downloaded the Rusty rooster iconpackage and it doesn't have a .iptheme file. It has the .icl file and a .iconpackage file. Iconpackager doesn't see it. ??????
It's funny Koasati, The main window problem is gone for now, however the image window is now disappearing under the upper menus and toolbars when zooming out. Weird stuff! It still works ok with WB unloaded. I'm using WB ver.4.3. I've also noticed that the scroll button changes from zoom to pan after a few minutes. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with WB though. I think they started shipping the full PSP 9 yesterday. So it must be out of Beta, at least for upgraders.
What I mean by messed up is that the close, minimize, and maximize buttons at the top right of the program window don't work, or they disappear sometimes. Also, the image window is never full size, ie: there are always scroll bars even though "size window to image" is set. I only have problems with that one on XP. The main window problem is with both XP and on another computer with Win 2000. It has to be something with PSP 9. I still have ver. 7 and 8 on these computers and they
I have never had any problems with Windowblinds with any version of Paint shop pro until I tried version 9. I've tried it on XP pro and Win 2000 both using current version of windowblinds and the program is all messed up. If I unload windowblinds, it works ok. I wonder what JASC did to make it incompatible?? Anyone else notice this??
Hey thanks, That was it. It seems to be intermitant. I turned it off and it worked. I then turned it back on and it still worked. Go figure.
When I click on the thumbnails of skins, to enlarge, on Wincustomize, nothing happens. Anybody know why? Everything else works ok.
This doesn't seem to work on Win 2000
This app has possibilities. It's still full of bugs. I hope they keep working on it and release a working version soon
Can anyone tell me why after 2 years of putting up with IE's crummy non-skinnable scrollbar, it's suddenly skinned with the windowblinds skin?? Surprised the heck out of me considering even WB 3.5 says it's not skinned. I'm running XP. jakester
